We have tent-camped in Flamingo several times and enjoyed views of dolphins, sunsets, & sunrises, and survived in mosquito times.||||We wanted to try the new glamping option but were disappointed and left after just one night even though we booked 3 and were refused a refund for the unused nights. Don’t book a longer stay until you see where you’ll stay.||||The raised walkway went right in front of our tent and then around the side. If we had the flaps open for light, views, air, we were in full view of passers-by some of whom felt obliged to shine flashlights on us in bed. Think of a diorama in a museum and you’ll get the picture. Tents are fairly close, so even with only people in 4/20 tents (I think) we could hear the conversation tents away. If the tents near you are occupied, you will hear every word and sound. We came for the peace and isolation but found little privacy.||||We didn’t appreciate the one distant, not-too-clean bathroom and the rules against having food at your tent as we had envisioned sunrise coffee on the patio. The ‘picnic area’ is in mosquito heaven with a view of the toilets and parking. Electricity is at one place not near the beds. On the plus side, the sunrise was pretty and the beds comfortable. For the luxury price we expected much more.||||#20 has the most privacy and water views but full morning sun, #3 has good privacy but limited water view, #9-#10 have...

We just completed our one night stay at Flamingo eco tent and are completely fascinated. This was my first camping / glamping experience, so I was a bit nervous about cooking, taking shower etc, but it all turned out great. We stayed at tent number 1 - it had two twin beds, two chairs, a lamp, two side tables and some etageres. Linens and towels were provided, BUT the information sheet said no beds are available in tents May through November. We noticed tent number 2 did not have any beds already. Showers and restrooms are not new, but pretty well maintained, running hot water is available so no issues at all. Cooking / dining area is huge and equipped with both low and high grills. Be on the lookout for black vultures and do not leave your food - especially meat - unattended even for a minute! The closest store is at the marina - it has all types of last minute necessities as well as souvenirs and camping items (ice, firewood etc). The nature around is great - we got a beautiful sunset and sunrise right by our tent and immensely enjoyed this little adventure.

We loved the park so much we bought an annual pass! Please bring insect repellent, make sure your doors are working on your tent, don't leave ANY GOOD OUT EVER! The birds completely went into a box and took out hotdog buns and chips. It was scary to watch and intriguing but they are hunters. Don't put food in your tent. Secure it in a plastic tote and tape it down if not lock it in your vehicle. Have fun!!!

We stayed for one night at the end of March and wish we had stayed longer. These are furnished with everything you need to be comfortable during your stay, including towels (shower use included in cost of tent; bathroom and shower house is a short walk away and secured with a keypad code). Sitting out on the little porch watching the sunset was one of our highlights of this trip.
