I booked a stay with Ombi at one of their bungalows to bring in the new year with my partner and it greatly exceeded my expectations! Corey and Captain Edwin did everything to ensure we were fully informed and prepared with our documents and transport before arriving in Key Largo. Once there, Captain Edwin warmly received us and chartered us to our bungalow. The bungalow has all of the luxury niceties, including Wi-Fi and television, while allowing you to disconnect when desired. We received a beautiful gift basket with local treats, including key lime pie, flowers, and wine. It was such a serene experience to have the bungalow to ourselves, secluded on the waters. We were able to catch the most breathtaking views, including the sunrise and sunset, all of the fireworks displays on the coast for New Year’s, and even playful groups of dolphins. There was so much to do, including kayaking and paddle boarding, staying indoors, and utilizing various cards and games provided. Throughout our stay, both Corey and Captain Edwin were readily accessible for all of our inquiries and needs, including transport to and from the mainland. They are passionate about their business and work tirelessly to ensure guests have a fantastic bungalow experience. I highly recommend a stay at one of their bungalows to anyone interested, and I am looking forward to another stay myself!

THIS PLACE IS A SCAAAAMMMMM I PAID $1,450 PER NIGHT FOR WHAT WAS ADVERTISED AS AN “ALL-INCLUSIVE LUXURY EXPERIENCE.” WHAT I GOT WAS A BASIC ROOM, NO CLOSET, FOOD FROM A PUBLIC BAR, AND ZERO TRANSPARENCY. NO ONE TOLD ME THE MEALS WOULD COME FROM A DIVE BAR RESTAURANT OPEN TO ANYONE. THE FOOD ARRIVED COLD, IN PLASTIC BOXES, AND LITERALLY SMELLING BAD. THE RESTAURANT IS DIRTY, LOUD, AND THE OPPOSITE OF “CURATED DINING.” THE ROOM HAS NO CLOSET, NO STORAGE, AND IS SWARMING WITH MOSQUITOES. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO RELAX OR EVEN SLEEP COMFORTABLY. THIS EXPERIENCE DOESN’T EVEN COME CLOSE TO JUSTIFYING $910 PER NIGHT — LET ALONE $1,450. IT’S A COMPLETE MISREPRESENTATION. ON TOP OF THAT, I WAS TRAPPED ON THE WATER WITH MY CERTIFIED SERVICE DOG, AND WAS REFUSED TRANSPORT TO SHORE SO HE COULD RELIEVE HIMSELF. I HAD TO CALL THE POLICE TO ESCAPE. THIS IS NOT LUXURY. IT’S FALSE ADVERTISING BACKED BY CHEAP DELIVERY FOOD, A DIRTY RESTAURANT, AND A TRULY UNCOMFORTABLE ENVIRONMENT. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE PHOTOS. THIS PLACE IS A SCAM.

The bungalow itself is awesome—very well-equipped, with a super comfortable bed and amenities that meet all the expectations of a hotel. The included paddleboard and clear kayak were a nice touch, and we appreciated the ability to bring our own food and drinks. The company was incredibly accommodating and helpful throughout our stay. That said, while the experience is unique, it felt more like glamping in a swamp. The water was warm, but the bottom is soft mud and seaweed—not sand—so swimming wasn’t enjoyable. It’s definitely not the beachy vibe we had hoped for. Would I do it again? Probably not. It was a memorable stay, but for the price, I expected more from the natural surroundings. It felt a bit overpriced for what you actually get.
