The house we rented was on the Ormond Beach Way, 3 beds, 2.5 baths. The outside appearance is very impressive and nice, once you entered inside, it's a different story! Just like the previous reviewer, we also found stains on the bed sheets, pillow cases. One of the bedroom sheets atill with sands (obviously were never changed out from the previous tenant). Pots and pans were still with oil and dirty, trash found behind the couches, such as dirty napkins, piece of half eaten pizza, stain couches. When I got up from the dinner table, my shirt was literally stuck to the back of the chair, old foods found between chair and back rest. Needless to say, dusts were everywhere in the house, from lamps (also with stains and different shades of bulbs), desks, table, bathrooms and bedrooms and so on. Toilet papers were provided only a few sheets left over on the rolls and that was it! Reported this to the office manager Nina Novell, her respond to me was "I hate to hear that you have to clean on your vacation" and that "I informed property manager", "feel free to contact" her if I have any questions. Well, neither her nor her property manager (Jennifer Dahn) were any help. They offered to send people to re- reclean but we were out and about everyday and not too crazy to have people over with all our belongings. They also offered to move to a different house, but I already spent my first night washing and cleaning everything. I asked if they can drop off clean sheets and pillow cases, after back and forth of timing, did not hear back from neither of them....The only good thing of this house is pricing, very affordable, but I guess for cheap price, you will get cheap services and cheap quality!
I feel bad for posting this, but I hate to see another family have to go through this (oh, they will charge cleaning service at the end of your...
Read moreFour night stay at 4782 Vero Beach Pl within the Terra Verde Resort during the month of February 2015. We booked via airbnb and the amazing Zeca was our host ($109 per night) you can barely buy a hot dog/coke/french fries at Disney for less than a $100 so what a bargain this is. Our 4bd 3ba townhouse with private pool was an end unit located in the cul de sac so it was very quiet Six of us (5 adults/1 child) stayed in the unit and there was plenty of room for everyone. Three bedrooms including the master with bath were located upstairs along with one other full bath, the other bedroom and full bath were located on ground floor. The full kitchen with bar and dining table came in handy as did the full size washer/dryer . The private pool was to cold for us to enjoy during February(not sure if you can request it to be heated for a charge) but the Community Pool located at the clubhouse is heated and we did enjoy swimming during the evening hours after returning from Disney. There are many amenities at the Resort such as ping pong, volleyball, basketball, putt putt golf, exercise room or just relaxing in one of the hammocks or lounge chairs at the pool. A manned 24/7 security gate to get thru before entry into the resort is a huge plus. The resort itself is clean and well staffed and is conveniently located to Disney/Universal/Old Town attractions as well as the outlet malls and the many great restaurants nearby.
We will definitely look at available units located in Terra Verde for our future...
Read moreIt's been almost 3 years since I stayed here and I thought I'd be "over it" by now but I'm definitely not. We stayed in a large inexpensive house with 9 other adults and 5 kids after a cruise so we could visit Universal.
The house itself was more than enough room for all of us but our room in particular was, to say the least, disgusting.
Our first night we were exhausted and tucked into bed, only to realize that there was a plastic sheet on our mattress. Not usually a problem, I get it, people don't want their kids wetting the bed. No big deal, that is, until the next morning when we casually mentioned to the friends and family we were staying with that the plastic sheet was very hot and sticky in the night. Nobody else's bed had one! Again, not a big deal, but it led me to believe that the sheets weren't cleaned from the last people.
I had uncomfortable sleep after uncomfortable sleep, thinking about how dirty everything was and the cardboard-thin pillows and single worn out blanket. Other amenities were fine, but typically, in my opinion, people rent these places as a place to rest their heads while visiting theme parks and attractions in the jam-packed Orlando area. Shouldn't the place you sleep be the most comfortable, or at bare minimum, at least be good enough to sleep through...
