We had such a nice stay here when we visited Crater Lake last year, we decided to stay here again this year. From my research this is the only traditional hotel near Crater Lake National Park (45 mins away). The hotel itself was very clean and seemed brand new from the outside and lobby. Plenty of free parking was available. The free WiFi internet has speeds of 9 Mbps down, 4.7 Mbps up.
Our 2 queen bed room was very clean and spacious, and the air conditioner did a good job cooling our room quickly and quietly. Shower pressure was fine, the microwave and small fridge worked well (although the fridge didn't have a compartment for freezing our ice packs).
The hotel also has a laundry room with a single coin operated washer ($1.50) and a single dryer ($1.00), but for some reason they can't provide quarters as change to use them. You need to walk over to the casino to get change, which seemed strange. We did make use of the laundry facility on our last night at the hotel and everything worked fine (if you didn't bring detergent the front desk has some available).
Free breakfast was offered every day starting at 6 am which was convenient for my family since we always try to get an early start. They had the usual hotel breakfast staples like scrambled eggs, Bacon, sausage, potatoes, cold cereal, yogurt, toast, bagels, danishes, self made pancakes and waffle machines. I ended up eating raisins bran cereal to make sure I didn't upset my stomach while on travel. The coffee was exactly what you would expect for a hotel. But, it was all free so I really can't complain.
We were on the highest floor and had a quiet stay. With the air conditioner running continuously at night, we couldn't hear any road noise.
In the end we had a pleasant stay at an affordable price. I can recommend staying at this hotel when visiting Crater Lake but be sure you understand your dining options in the hotel area.Very clean, quiet hotel with good sized rooms. Closest traditional hotel to...

Read moreWe stayed here because it’s relatively near Crater Lake. There aren’t a lot of options in the vicinity.
Pros: • It was clean and had decent amenities. • The continental breakfast was better than expected. • Parking was easy as there was a large lot and not a lot of cars. This was during the week, so weekends may be different.
Cons: The hotel staff left a lot to be desired. • I was using my mobility scooter when I went to check in and the person at the desk did not come over to the lower part of the desk to greet me. This is the kind of desk that is mostly standing height with one section that is lower specifically for people in my situation. I could not see over the standing part. I understand his computer was over there, but it would have been nice to be greeted at least at the only place I could be. He also listed off things I needed to know (such as hours for the pool and breakfast) very fast and there wasn’t a reference for that information written down. • When I made the reservation, I listed that we had 4 people who would stay in the room. There were only three towels. They gave us a hard time about getting more towels, and when they finally did, they said they would be counting them in the morning, insinuating that we might steal them. That was really uncalled for.
Overall, I would not stay here again. While the rooms were good, the way we were treated outweighs that by a lot in my opinion. I'm glad to see in the reviews that a lot of people had good experiences with the staff. Hopefully this...
