What a terrible experience! I had made my reservation on the wrong day, as I was coming in for a funeral and not thinking straight. I never got a confirmation email after I paid online, so I sent an email requesting confirmation. I received an immediate response letting me know they'd investigate. Showed up to the hotel and the guy behind the desk YELLED at me for getting him in trouble with his boss because I emailed for confirmation. The blessing here is that they did not charge me for the "no show" as I had booked for Wednesday instead of Thursday. However, the guy behind the front desk was soooo rude to me, and charged me almost DOUBLE what I had been quoted for a Wednesday rate because he said that Thursday's are included in their "weekend" rate, and they were busy due to the state fair (most rooms were empty, as was the parking lot). I had nowhere else to go, so I paid the ridiculous charge for an absolutely gross hotel room. The smell in the hallway was enough to gag you, but that was a welcome smell compared to the one that was in my room. No one had aired out the room or put on the AC, and the internal temp of the room was 82 degrees when we walked in. The bathroom floor was sticky and my sneakers stuck to whatever funk was on there. I had to plug in my phone charger, and the wall behind the night stand with the plug was disgusting - covered with brown stains that went all along the back of the bed. There was no coffee maker, but I was relieved that at least there was a vending machine in the hallway - went to get a drink, and the vending machine was COMPLETELY empty as if it was just there for decoration. There's at least a 2 inch gap under the front door, and all night long, we were awakened by slamming doors and light streaming in. It was a terrible experience made so much worse by the jerk behind the front desk. A little customer service goes a long way to make up for less than quality accommodations, and had he had even a morsel of decency, I would not be writing...

Management will cuss a customer out if she feels like they are “not good enough” to stay there or she will kick them out if she is suspicious of them usually for no reason. She claims she doesn’t cuss but once she starts yelling she definitely does. This place is filthy and isn’t upkept at all. Toilets constantly having problems, rooms smell musty or like rotting food, lights not working, phones in rooms not working, leak stains on the lobby ceiling. Housekeepers look like they are druggies and like they would steal things from your room. Best put a DND sign on your door and get your towels from the front desk instead. Only posting one star because I have to in order to write a review. Towels and sheets constantly have stains, showers are very dirty, mirrors have dirt spots, & they have brown recluse in the bathrooms but don’t care about if they have an infestation or not. Tried to call corporate but this is a franchise and they want to forward all complaints to the owner. The owner doesn’t care about any of this because he listens to whatever the management says and it’s their word over any bad reviews. So my last resort is posting here for other customers to see. This hotel says it is pet friendly. My husband and I travel for work and decided to stay at this hotel since the location was close to our work site. We checked in and told the guy at the desk that we didn't want the room cleaned due to only being in the room for less than a week. My dog is potty trained and has never made a mess on the floor. With that being said, we didn't need any cleaning. Everything was fine until the guy tried to come into our room while we were at work. The reason I know this is because I have a pet camera set up and caught him opening the door and then shutting it when my dog began to bark. He then tells us 2 days later when we tried to pay for 2 more nights that we weren't allowed to stay there anymore due to our dog barking. The day we left there was a group of men sitting out on the balcony with their music blasted and was throwing shoes and cigarettes from off of the side into the parking lot. The condition of the room was pretty bad as well. I looked at the bedding to check for bugs and didn't find any bed bugs but did find dark brown spots all over the wall. Don't look behind the beds! You will find food and a bunch of hair behind there! The ac/heat vents had mold as well in them. I should have asked for a different room but I was scared that I may end up with a much worse room.
