Goldilocks Bed & Breakfast — Hotel in Kodiak Island

Bronwyn is a great hostess! She is friendly, full of information on the local sites, and is a great cook! She has breakfast waiting for you in the morning before you head out for the day. Her B&B is nestled in the woods and is very quiet. Our bed was so comfortable and our room and bathroom were spacious and very clean. Her home has a wrap around porch, part of which looks over the trees in her front yard. Its a peaceful place to sit and enjoy the quiet. A short walk from her place takes you to wonderful views of the water and surrounding area. Bronwyn is also a tour guide, which was money well spent since it was our first time on the island. She recommended taking a plane tour over the island which delivered us to a remote area of the island with our guide to observe 3 brown bears for several hours. The ride over the island was amazing. Great place to stay! Bronwyn went out of her way to make the two weeks I spent in Kodiak super comfortable. Was up for a work trip, and coming home to the quiet, comfortable room each night after long days at work was rad. Highly recommend Goldilocks...there are multiple rooms that would accommodate almost any travel situation. Goldilocks is a true bed and breakfast, so expect delicious food in the AM. Unfortunately, I was up and out of the house early each morning, so I missed most of the morning meals...but the ones I was there for were unreal..that being said, the lovely hostess would leave muffins or homemade granola out so I could grab a bite here and there. For those with dietary restrictions (I'm vegetarian), Bronwyn again went out of her way to make sure there were tasty plant based food options. Again, rad place to stay! Bronwyn and Goldilocks Bnb is serene, calm, beautifully located (next to forest and coast - a 20 minute round trip walk we did every evening !) 5 mins from downtown - Bronwyn's home is huge - with comfy beds, spotlessly clean and Bronwyn is very accomodating and charming. We were 2 sisters in 2 rooms with 1 shared bathroom but Bronwyn can accomodate much larger groups...we needed to cook food for our Kodiak brother and Bronwyn was so generous with her space...on every level. Her daughter set us up with a car rental ...could not have been easier ...or more comfy ....I'm a super host with airbnb and I love...
