I'm sure I've had worse hotel experiences but I couldn't tell you when. After finishing up our workweek we made the trip to this quaint little 50's themed hotel we had seen on previous trips. Its proximity to 2 of our favorite places in the area made it seem ideal.... only it was far from ideal. The room we were given was between two partying crowds and the walls are so thin we could here them very plainly. A previous guest's clothing was still hanging in the bathroom, the toilet was nasty, the bathtub had soap rings on the side, the shower only worked halfway, the doorstop was chewed up, and there were mouse feces in the corner. The metal safety latch on the door was broken and jagged to the point it could cut you if you didn't notice it. When we asked to be moved to another room we were told there were none available. We spent our hotel budget when we checked in so finding another place to stay was out of the question. Had it been just myself I would have slept in the vehicle but my son and chronically sick wife shouldn't have to do that after I spent almost $200 for 2 nights. We were able to turn the TV up enough to drown out some of the noise from the adjoining room but that didn't help with the slamming doors and stomping going on in the hallway. When my wife woke up feeling sick I found mildew/mold in the window she had slept next to. They finally offered us a new room the next morning when I went to the desk but it just wasn't worth the risk. The lady at the desk was super nice but her replacement was dismissive and acted like there shouldn't have been any problems telling me "Well, it's a hotel so we can't do anything about that" when told about the noise issues. In the end they did give us a partial refund for our sleepless night but again, she acted like they shouldn't have to. I wouldn't recommend this place, at this time, to someone...

Read moreThis is the cleanest, nicest, and comfortable motel 6 ive ever been to hands down, usually i find a little something wrong with the room but not today. The bed (queen or king) felt comfier than my bed maybe because im a trucker and slept in my chair the other night, but the guy who checked me in even gave me a discount for my CDL! Unbelievable thats never happened to me or offered to me. A little smoke smell lingering around certain areas of the motel but was bareable. No shady people around or anybody ever came to knock on my door to bother me not once. The shower was immaculate magnetic things so the curtain doesnt flutter, all towels clean no shampoo provided but i did get 2 little soaps, the shower can get hot and had good pressure. The floor light colored hardwood was impeccably clean i could walk barefoot without worry which is a first for me. The room was a little compact but it still had a nice working flatscreen tv that had a bunch of channels and movie channels hbo etc, i had a microwave, a mini fridge, a super cold ac a little noisy but beats my trucks racket. It had a nice window view of the outside with blackout curtains, not much to look at outside but it has a deck with a soft cushion so you can make it like an extra bed for someone small. Walking in the motel you have a computer lounge where they serve coffee in the morning, and then theres a wash and dry room upstairs, and then theres a vending machine and ice machine elsewhere no elevator but honestly the stairs arent too high. Overall just a wonderful nights rest felt like a king i highly reccomend anyone stay here, i wish all motel 6 were like this. My opinion this place sets the bar of standards for all motel 6 chains, and should be commended for their effort! A little gem...
