Great Boondocking camp! Not far off the freeway but quiet and peaceful. The shady campground has a clean vault toilets, 4 designated camp sites with level parking, enough space for a tent, picnic table, and fire ring. There are a couple other cleared areas for overflow parking as well. There are a few dirt roads to hike into the forest and along the creek. We saw elk, birds and butterflies. The forest service dirt road leading to the campground is wide and smooth and has a number of unofficial pull-in sites that look large enough for bigger...

Very primitive, not much different than camping without a campground. Only about 4 camp sites and the vault toilet is less than luxurious. There's no water or trash service. It's free, though. We've stayed there 4 times over a few years and have only had a total of 1 other group there. It's not bad getting into it with a fairly large RV but if you have that, it's easier to just park it outside the campground. There are lots of places along the 1.5 mile road to...

Nice place to spend the night if you're driving through but I personally wouldn't want to spend a week there or even more than 2 days the lake is more like a swampy area I can't imagine any fish being an it the only perks I saw to this was campfire rings that were Community campfire rings that provided firewood for the whole camp ground that you did not have to pay extra for I was a little bummed out that they did not have fire pits at the...

Beautiful free campground right next to spring creek. They have 4 campsites. I would not bring a motor home or RV unless under 30 feet long. They have fire pits and picnic tables. I was able to get my verizon phone to work for both calls and data. You are allowed to camp for free up to 14 days. When you turn off of I84 you only have to travel on gravel road for a little over a mile. Watch for all the potholes the road is a bit rough but duable.

Oh my gosh you guys, this is a really great little place to sleep in my van. My friend slept outside next to the fire to presumably see the stars. He was completely huddled up inside the sleeping bag because it was something like 36. It was cold. There is a lovely meadow there! I think there's five camping spots, there is no potable water, there is no trash cans. There is a vault toilet. Really nice place and it's free.
