If you are considering staying here, read this review and let me know if it helped you make a decision.
We arrived after hours Thanksgiving night at about 9. Our reservation instructions were on the bulletin board by the golf pro shop and made everything very easy.
I would recommend going to the website and familiarize yourself with the resort map (attached to my review) so you can know where to go.
We were pilling a 37' 5th wheel and the pull through site we reserved was clean and easy to slide into.
Hookups are also central to the rv so hooking up was uncomplicated.
Our hose had a drip and although their rv supplies are limited, there is a hardware store in town a 5 minute drive away, we'll stocked and reasonably priced.
I golfed. The course is very well maintained and much nicer than I thought or expected.
The pool is heated and there were 3 couples spas with a family spa. There is a gym, lots of sporting things to do, and a little swingset for the kids.
Fishing is not bad either. Next time I come I'll bring my pole. It's catch and release and there are plenty of fish.
I build water features, and it takes a lot to impress me. The water is so clean and clear, I have to congratulate the caretakers and builders. Very well done!
The campground is worth the price and I have reserved a spot from Dec 26 through the 30th on a fairway site. I cant wait to be fairway close, enjoy a cigar and watch people play.
In all, if you're disappointed with this resort, you shouldn't be. Ive stayed in plenty of resorts, travel a great deal, and if I owned an rv resort, this is real darn close to how I'd build it and run it.
There are plenty of campground hosts, people are safe and friendly, and most of all......
It's quiet at night. You're not going to hear people rudely partying here. As I write this review, it's 6 pm, and aside from some chatter, it's very peaceful.
The last two nights I heard coyotes celebrating a hunt. That's cool.
I highly recommend this park, please come and enjoy your stay.
Yes, there is plenty of free camping all around the desert here, and we do that too. But, and here's the big but.... This is a luxury campground, and you get your money's worth.
Thank you to the staff for a job well done. My reviews have over 5 million views as of today's date, and you have very easily earned 5...
Read moreI wanted to give this park 5 stars because we were so excited to see it. But the best I can do is 3 stars. The positive aspects were the Starlink was perfect and we had great internet our whole stay. I heard that some of the common cellular carriers were spotty throughout the park. It is a dark sky park and the stars were amazing. The park is surrounded by a golf course. They have a catch and release pond that I saw many enjoying. It is a large park and spaces are close together but there are some that are larger and more private but you must pay for that luxury. The RV Park is adjacent to a full time community which we share the dog park with. Most of the folks I met there were very nice. The laundry room was large, air conditioned, affordable and clean. The bathrooms (most were out of commission) were clean and some had showers. The pool was small and due to the size of the park and number of people in the park it became VERY cloudy every weekend. They have Hot Mineral Baths that I tried but were full of bugs and tree stuff flying through the air. I think due to the size of the RV park they should take better care of the pool they have or add another. One of the negatives is the weekends become an out of control party place. They have a large staff of Park Hosts, they do a great job keeping the park clean. A couple of the guys were grumpy but most were friendly and nice and wanted to make sure our stay was pleasant. They have a garbage pick up every morning. The Park is close to Borrego Springs there are several restaurants that are worth trying and the Galleta Meadows which is worth seeing. Not sure this place will be on our return list but enjoyed most of the time...
Read moreThe 'resort' is laid out nicely and has a nice aesthetic. However, when I made the reservation I told them that we have a 44' diesel pusher towing a Honda CRV. I also asked for a satellite friendly site. We arrived late in the afternoon and after checking in a camp host escorted us to the site. It was obvious that our rig would be scratched by the overhanging trees so I asked them to trim two trees; which they did but it took them 45 minutes to do the work and clean up; not something one expects after a long travel day and ready to relax. The site is anything but satellite friendly since one of the offending trees completely blocks the dish. When I politely expressed my discontent to the person at the desk, who had also taken our reservation he became defensive, the manager took over the discussion and was only marginally better. All they are interested in is taking a reservation without regard to what the guest needs or wants. This is not a big rig friendly site. In order to not be in the street you're forced to park forward of the concrete patio and you must step out onto sand, which is easily tracked indoors. This is the first bad review I've posted so I'm not a malcontent looking for something to complain about. Normally I look on Google Earth to assess sites but I didn't this time. My recommendation is to make sure that they know for sure that the site is truly capable of accommodating a big rig and if you desire to use a satellite dish check out Google Earth, you can't rely on them to...
