Elsa’s Place gives storybook vibes! I felt like I was a star in my personal fairytale during my 2 day stay enjoying the picturesque grounds to the charming dining area. The stay was magical from check-in to checkout. Victoria, the lovely host made our stay memorable.
Elsa’s Place pays close attention to details from the ambiance to decor. There were a range of rooms to choose from, I booked Magnolia #6 with water view and jacuzzi. It’s perfect for a solo or couples trip. The room was extremely comfortable and clean! The water pressure in the shower felt like heaven & I didn’t want to get out.
Look, this bed & breakfast didn’t miss! The breakfast Ms. Jessie prepared every morning was top tier and abundant. This is not one of those basic continental breakfast served at chain hotels. This was a plated breakfast served on table linens with cloth napkins and silverware. We had a different meal each morning. I definitely enjoyed the homemade pecan and maple syrup served with french toast, eggs, bacon/sausage & fresh fruit. Both days the breakfast was delicious! I appreciated the fact they ask if you have any food allergies and allow you to pick the service time. We also had the choice of enjoying the food in their beautiful dining area or delivered to your room.
I came here to relax and reset and did just that! It was very peaceful & I even got a late night frog serenade sitting on the balcony ..lol. This is the bayou so if you plan to sit outside at night bring some mosquito repellent. I will definitely be back when I visit New Orleans, hopefully I’ll get to experience the firepit next time and get a little fishing in. Overall a 10 out of 10!...
Read moreI do not often take the time to write reviews. My husband and I travel very often to speak at different conferences. However, this Bed and Breakfast was, quite honestly, the best place I have ever stayed. Ever. From day one and booking through Expedia, and needing to call the property to confirm Aida answered the phone the FIRST time - no waiting for a return call and assured me the reservation was fine! We were placed in a beautiful suite. Everything was incredibly comfortable. We loved having the full sized refrigerator and king bed. WiFi was easy to sign on to and worked perfectly. Jacuzzi tubs are a huge bonus. Breakfast was incredible!!! So SO yummy. And when we had to call Aida again because we had to leave out so early to teach she made us “to go” breakfasts that were equally incredible. She was also very knowledgeable of the area, suggesting the best restaurant we have eaten at in a very long time and an incredibly fun swamp tour where we got pictures that are so beautiful we will be framing them! This family owned Bed and Breakfast has the southern charm as well as the modern elegance and staff professionalism you would expect from a five start luxury resort. Highly recommend. We will never stay anywhere else when needing to stay in or near...
Read moreFantastic find!!!! Relaxing and quiet luxury escape for adults on the water. Delicious breakfast, friendly staff and possibly life-changing cookies.
We were looking for a quiet spot to stay after a few days in New Orleans and found Elsa's Place online. As this was a divergence from the rest of our trip, we just walked in. Asmeret welcomed us warmly with a disarming smile and relaxed demeanor.
The property and buildings were just what we needed: low-key, relaxed and quiet - and right on the water. Fantastic place to recharge and reflect away from crowds. Rocking chairs on the deck over looking the Gulf. Pretty much adults or couples only.
The rooms were luxurious and well appointed. Huge showers with great water pressure. We had everything we needed. That said, there are quite a bit of stairs to the rooms, which may be a concern to some guests. Also, it's a bit of a drive to evening activities or restaurants, so if you are staying here, recommend you plan around that.
Thanks Asmeret for a memorable stay and the recharge we needed! Can't wait to stay at Elsa's Place again and would...
