Sunrise Inn — Hotel in Lake Charles

Walked into the lobby and the clerk did not even return my friendly "good evening", told her non-smoking, she gave me the opposite. She also screamed at me when I was reaching for my phone, she said not to take my phone out, and what I needed it for…that was weird! I was so upset, and after driving for hours on end on my way back to the University, I called my mom and cried about the treatment I received there. She immediately called the hotel, and the clerk was just as rude to her, when my mother demanded to speak to the manager, the woman hang up on her. My mother called back, and the manager finally was put on the phone. Mom explained to the manager the sequence of events, but she was not very nice either, she communicated that I could get the key to another room, this time a real non-smoking room. When I went back to the lobby, the clerk awaited me with a smirk on her face, and told me the next time I have problem, to bring it up to her attention instead of my “mommy” she put it that way, she threw the key on the counter, and told me to go on about my business. Such a disgrace of a clerk, such a disgrace of a manager! I told her I wanted to check out, and she told me while pointing to the sign that said “ non-refundable”….still, I left, could not stand the idea to sleep in that hotel with those sleazy people working there, imagine security in that place! So I took myself to another hotel, not even a mile from there, what a difference!!!! Sunrise Inn, remember this, customer service makes a world of difference. And by the way, I am getting my refund, I cancelled the charges due to the customer service I did receive, and the harassment, they are lucky if my parents and I do not pursue this further, since I feared...

TERRIBLE PLACE THEY HAVE NO HOT WATER AND THEY TOILETS DON'T FLUSH THIS HOTEL HAS POOR MAINTENANCE!!!! THEY CHARGE MORE ON FRIDAY AND SATURDAY $65 AND THERE ARE ROACHES AND BED BUGS AND FECES IN THE BATHROOM AND THE SHOWERS THE BED BUGS ARE DEEP IN THE BED AND THEY CAUSE RASHES AND ITCHING!!! BE AWARE DON'T STAY HERE THERE ARE PEOPLE PROSTITUTING THEMSELVES HER AND HOMELESS PEOPLE ASKING FOR MONEY WHILE PEOPLE ARE STAYING HERE AND THE MANAGERS DON'T DO A THING....THE OWNER IS INDIAN AND HE VERY UNPROFESSIONAL HE LEAVES THE HOTEL LIKE THIS FOR DAYS!!!! THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE AND NEEDS TO BE CLOSED DOWN ITS A TERRIBLE UNCLEAN HOTEL NO HOT WATER BED BUGS SMELLS LIKE FECES IN THE ROOMS AND YOU'LL BE PAYING $55-65 FOR RASHES AND NO HOT WATER ALONG WITH BUGS DON;T CHANCE THIS PLACE ITS DISGUSTING!!! WATER IS COLD WITH A BROWN FECES STINT...

Not even worth one star. Rooms are dirty, broken and nasty. Bed linen was not even washed. Owner said we HAD to accept housekeeping, but when the maids came to clean, you had to be out of the room and leave the premises, so obviously they don't want you any where near the room, so you can't see them robbing you blind, which is what they do. There is no point to put the 'do not disturb' sign on the door because they come by at 6 in the morning beating on the door for up to 30 minutes, yelling to get in, and then laugh and say they are police too. We had to video the housekeepers opening the door with the chain lock on and trying to stick their head in yelling and acting crazy. Cops are there very frequently as well. It was the worst experience I've ever had, and definitely not worth...
