Quiet & relaxing we had the Captains Quarters Room for our Anniversary & Valentine's. Rooms need to be individually temp control for A/C we really were sweating in the middle of night & getting dressed for our Anniversary Dinner out ,Also The jacuzzi is only allowed to run 10am-10pm that needs to change for sure, also we were told turn off lights when you go out even if we were sitting on our private porch, Porch had ceiling fan we turned on owner came & turned it off. We felt for the money we spend for this room that we were being controlled like children we are grown adults in our 60's. Breakfast was a complete disaster we ordered our eggs & pancakes & hubby wanted waffles he was told we had to eat our eggs first before we get our pancakes & waffles this was horrible to much controlling. the orange juice was spoiled!! I took a huge swig that's how I found out & we told owner & he said oh I wanted to get rid of the older orange juice before serving the new orange juice what in the world is that crap. We continued eating then we were done our eggs we ordered pancakes & waffles well lord behold I poured syrup & started eating my pancakes & i looked down & dead ant bugs were loaded on my plate which i ate some & my husband's plate with his waffles was loaded with the bugs too & the syrup container was loaded inside with the dead bugs well at this point we were done & very disgusted & done with eating anymore. Told owner & he said nothing wrong with a little protein & said i don't know how they got in there i keep syrup container in sink, that's a hellva remark after one pays that kind of money to stay there for our 1st time & yes it will be our last. Nice quiet place like I said but owner is to controlling with everything & tight with A/C & electric & limited hours on using jacuzzi. We would've been better off staying at a hotel near by. Very...

We traveled from Kings Landing and after an early spring paddle we made it early to our stay and Olga was able to accommodate us, since our room was ready and that was pretty fantastic, we wanted to wash off and have lunch. The grounds are beautiful. Loved looking out the glass doors and catching a couple butterflies hanging around the hibiscus. The breakfast was served between 8am-10am and it was a quaint continental style breakfast. Didn't know a grill was available and that was a plus, we would have enjoyed that had we vacationed with our two kids. Also, a large open areas is near the grill and that would have been a beautiful spot to read with the kids. We like to keep to ourselves and not be around a load of people and we definitely felt secluded. Keep in mind you are in a shared home sometimes footsteps can be heard and doors opening but everyone is respectful and no one was up late so it was a peaceful experience. Would love to revisit with the...
Read moreOne night for $195 dollars is really way too expensive for what you'll get in return. You can't control the temperature in the room cause the A/C thermostat isn't in the room, and breakfast portions are very small. You can only serve yourself cereal, coffee and bagels. You cannot serve yourself eggs, waffles and they don't offer sausages. Bed was hard as a rock, definitely not for two people. I had to kill a few palmetto roaches at night as well.
At any average hotel you can pay $80+ a night and get:
Your own A/C in the room Real continental breakfast (boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, sausages, waffles You'll be able to soon in a pool (they have absolutely 0 to offer for entertainment) You don't have to tell the one person how you want your little portion of eggs cooked between specific hours
Checking out was easy but they didn't give me a copy of a receipt like all other places do. A lot of room for improvement, especially for the price. If can't improve, then lower the night at $50 dollars, that would be the fair price in it's...
