Sandy Beach Resort Inc — Hotel in Lake Shore

These cabins are ALWAYS so well kept. It's always clean and organized instead. Everything smells fresh and clean. There are plenty of different sizes of cabins for specific groups. Larger and smaller sizes. Yes the prices are very expensive (especially during the month of June and the beginning of July). But extremely worth it. The owners who run this place are always very sensitive, talkative, sweet, and caring. I haven't been here in a few years unfortunately. But last time the owners would keep there dog instead the smaller store and just talk and be extremely friendly. There is a site specifically for a washer and dryer. There's a basketball court. Games to play close to the beach. Somewhat uncomfortable beach chairs in front of each cabin. Some tables for people to sit outside to get a better view of the lake. There are multiple cabins to choose from and different angles you can get from each cabin. I seriously feel like it's worth the price. There's also a docking station to take your boat or jet skis in and out without hassle, or worry you'll need to drive further to a different docking station. Which I feel is important to have! Just got up here on Friday night for labor Day weekend. Loved this place. My wife's family has been coming up here for 30 years. We checked in, went to cabin 28, started unpacking and to our disgust found a bag of lube, penis pump, and other sex toys. We went to the candy store to let them know about it and how disgusted we were by it and Pam literally said that we were "overreacting" and that we "need to calm down bc it wasn't the first time they've had sex toys." WTF?! They offered us cabin 19 but just the way they handled our complaint was so bad that we couldn't stay. So we told Pam we will just leave and she blew up! Threw her hands in the air and said we were out of control. Yes, I lost my temper at that point and kind of went off on her. Horrible customer service, never even said sorry just blamed their cleaning ladies, and they expected us to be fine with it. She threatened to call the police on us if we didn't leave at that point. Never again. It's really sad too bc it 30 years of memories for my wife and her family and it has to end...

We had an absolutely wonderful time at The Sandy Beach Resort on Gull Lake. They hosted 28 people in our group and made us feel very welcome and comfortable. The grounds are spacious and offer a ton of parking for all the toys you want at the lake. The convenience store on site is very helpful and they have some great looking merchandise as well. So thankful they had everything you'd need in the kitchen to cook and make meals at the resort. Plenty of space to spread out on the beach and the docks are in great shape and made me feel safe about leaving watercraft tied up there.
