Whitetail Family Resort — Hotel in Lake Township

Nice little cabin for Lake Huon. There is a small sandy beach with swimming. Also, 2 shuffle boards, fire pit with free wood and a couple of kayaks to use. There is a small play area for kids and some tables and chairs for each unit. There's a yard swing and table and chairs for guests, also.

The owners were nice, but hard to get in touch with. If you leave a message, it might take awhile to get a call back. Only 1 cabin sits sideways near the beach, while the rest of them line up after the beach out to the front parking lot and office and road.

They really need to replace the plumbing because the hard water is ruining the sinks and faucets and probably the pipes.

One cabins shower floor was cracked all the way across. It wasn't safe.

With some needed improvements like new kayaks and paddles, this would be a perfect little resort for a large family or any large group. With the Pontoon rental on hold, they should add another activity...

My partner and I recently rented the Wolf cottage and brought our 2 Sphynx cats over Mother's Day weekend for a place to spend the nights while we visited some family acreage nearby during the daytime. We were ecstatic to find a place that was pet friendly that was not a hotel so we could still have a camping vibe! The property is very pretty outside and the cottage was very rustic which is what we wanted. The photos shown when booking were very accurate. Everything needed for the basics were supplied as far as towels, bedding, dishes, etc. which made it very nice and lighter packing for us! I found it exceptionally nice that we got emailed some tips for places to go for entertainment and food and we did check out MJs one morning for breakfast which was a gem! Disappointed we didn't get to check out the lake or the boats and fishing as we were just too busy with family time off the property but we 10/10 would come...

Great for a weekend getaway as well as a week long family vacation.
