We stayed at their campground. It was very ran down, exposed electrical outlets, very dusty, campsites are not maintained. Every sites fire pit was full of ashes and trash in many. But the crime was horrible! Many ice chests, chairs were stolen the week we were there. They even went into an unlocked rig and stole personal items. There isn’t any security and employees only comment was “tweekers come in here and do that all the time”. Unless this place gets bought out and refurbished with new owners, management and security, I’ll never go back. The 7 other families with me also said they will NEVER go back to Antlers. Very unfortunate. If you have reservations, take plenty of locks and cables.

Antlers Campground is a Great place to spend the weekend! Wether you're Boating, RV traveling, passing thru or just enjoying a weekend getaway, Antlers is a good choice! Reasonably priced and It's right next to Beautiful Lake Shasta, with Gorgeous views of the mountains and lake! The campgrounds are well-kept with Bathrooms, Water stations and an on-site camp host that was Super-Friendly and welcoming! Within less than a mile you have Gas stations, a Grocery store, a laundromat, Restaurants, Food, a Tavern, a Marina w/Store and restaurant and boat ramps that made for a great weekend of boating! Can't wait for our next trip out there!

Went during off season. The place was super quiet and relaxing! The cabin i was in was newly remodled. Super clean and had all the minimum kitchen supplies to cook a meal. The only reason I am giving this one less star is because you have to book a minimum of three nights. Coming from out of town and wanting a weekend getaway I wish there was an option to book for two. Would recommend for fishers and quiet off season get away. Five star for customer service Danielle and Whitney were both super friendly and very accommodating. I asked a whole lot of question and they were so friendly, warm, and inviting. Thank you ladies!!!

We rented the Genesis houseboat|Says it sleeps 14 but I’d say 10 would be more comfortable. Each bed sleeps 2 but they are very small and short - somewhere between a full and a queen. The kitchen table bed not comfortable. The couch isn’t a pull out sofa but more like two big couch cushions laid flat. I’d bring a full size air mattress and have some people sleep on the top deck again. Beautiful under the stars and much cooler too. |No AC - picked up the houseboat on Friday. No AC until Tuesday!!! Told us someone would come on Saturday but we never heard from anyone until we took the boat back to Antlers on Sunday to ask. It was sweltering hot over 100 degrees and no relief! The upside is that we expected to have to debate with them in order to get some sort of compensation because of no AC but they were actually very gracious about it in the front office and gave us a fair % reimbursement as a result which we were pleased with. |The boat was in good condition. We knew it was older so didn’t expect it to be fancy. Other than the AC issue, it was in good shape. |Check in / out - having the barge to take all of our food and belongings down to the boat was essential. Made it so easy. Our check in time was at 4:30. We arrived on time but after waiting for one of the three barges to be available then taking the barge down to the boat, it was about 6:30. There is also a one hour orientation on the boat for the person who will be the driver. On checkout, the process also took about 3 hours. We got to the dock at 10 and finally left in our cars at 1. So plan for additional 2.5-3 hours on both ends of the trip. |Brand new double door refrigerator installed in this boat last weekend. We expected to have to hold some food in the coolers, but this fridge held everything! |So many wasps and bees! I expected mosquitos and spiders but didn’t have any. Just endless wasps and bees. Bring Raid!|No cell service at all in most of the lake |Shasta is an absolutely gorgeous lake. So serene and beautiful. Deer came right up to our boat and swam in the water nearby. Saw a bald eagle. Caught a bass. |We never saw more than 4-5 boats on any given day. This resort is further and not as near to the more popular areas like Bridge Bay and Jones Valley which is why we think it was so quiet. |Renting jet skis at Shasta is $350/day. We rented jet skis at home instead for $100/day and towed them up to the lake. Cheaper to rent at home and bring with you if you can. |Customer Service-Great customer service at Antlers (other than frustration with the AC issue waiting for someone to come out) from the time we made reservations, called in advance with questions and at check in/out. |Antlers Resort store and nearby Sugarloaf Resort both have very minimal supplies. Simple things like you’d find at a very small gas station convenience store. |We saved a lot of water from going into the grey tank by showering in our swimsuits outside on the back deck instead of in the bathroom showers. We also used a big pot to wash dishes so only used the water really for rinsing. We did not use disposable plates, cups or cutlery so didn’t have too much garbage to take in either. As a result, we never had to take the houseboat back during our 6 days to Antlers to dump the tank, get more drinking water or drop off garbage. |*We cooked as much as possible on the two bbq’s so the kitchen wouldn’t get too hot. Even once the AC worked, we didn’t want the generator on all the time since it uses gas and increases the gas bill at the end. BBQ worked great. We also prepared as much of the food at home as possible so that it would be quicker to cook once we got on the boat. Brought our own Instapot and rice cooker too, which...

Antlers Marina and Resort||Our friends, my wife and I reserved two studio cabins at Antlers Resort and Marina on Shasta Lake. We arrived at about 2:30 pm on September 8, 2020.||Since we made reservations starting one day after the high season, we paid just $346.5 including tax for three nights stay.||I was surprised to see the dark reception office and soon we were informed that due to the rolling blackouts power will be out till the 7 pm next day. It was the worst possible news during the 94 deg. F day and a possibility to lose most of our food supplies. We hoped to see some cooling down for the night, but it really cooled off about 5 AM next morning. ||We were pleasantly surprised to see very large ice boxes filled with 7 bags of ice delivered to our and our friends’ cabins at about 5 PM and we were given lanterns to survive the dark night.||Cabins were fully stocked with all dishes and kitchen appliances including el. stove, microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker. There is also Webber gas grill on the balcony outside. There is a wall A/C unit as well. ||It was difficult to find anything to complain about, but I managed to find one - soap in the shower and the smallest I have ever seen. That’s it on the negative side.||||Cabins are in surprisingly good shape given the age and heavy use during the high season.||For those planning to utilize the water activities I should note that the water level in the lake was about 90 ft below the top level. All boats from the Antlers were moved to the Sugarloaf Marina with Public Launch Ramp. However, next day visit to the Sugarloaf was a disappointing as well. It was deserted with no one insight to rent any watercraft.||Overall, we really liked our Antlers stay and appreciated it even more when power was turned on at about 7 am instead of 7 pm next day.||We would definitely recommend it with the advice to check the water level for those wishing to have the water related...

Do not rent from this company if your holiday time is precious. I don't like to write reviews like this but I wouldn't want this to happen to anyone else, especially if all you have time for is one day on the lake.| We reserved the Deluxe 12 person patio boat for the day even though we knew we would use it for maybe 6 hours only because we had my elderly mother in law with us but we wanted to make sure it was available. We arrived at 11.55 only to be told that the prop, (propeller), needed to be replaced, the boat would need to be returned by 6 pm. We argued that it should've been ready at 8 am & reserved it the day before so they knew in advance that it would be used on 1 august. The worker at the dock said the bigger patio boats that were being returned had priority & that this kind of thing happens all the time.| Meanwhile, when we were waiting, we started chatting with another family who told us their prop fell off the patio boat they had rented the day before then today, the transmission of the speed boat they rented blew up. Obviously this kind of thing really does happen on a regular basis just as the worker told us.| It took 1 hr &25 mins for them to replace the prop so we requested to be refunded $100 for the loss of our vacation time on the boat. Danielle offered $55 for compensation of loss rental time to which we did not agree but she recommended we go on the lake so as not to lose anymore time & that we could discuss it further when we got back, She said she would be in the office till 6 pm.| When my husband went to the office at 5.55 pm, Danielle had left for the day & Whitney dealt with us. In the end, all we got back was $55.| My mother in law who has lived in the area for 30 years will also discourage others from renting for...
