The Last Resort — Hotel in Lakeview

We stayed here for a family vacation, it is a cute L-shaped little motel, looks like to be from the 50's. It's very close to Lakeview Cove Marina and a Lakeview Cove campground, near Bull Shoals Lake. Cool so far. The motel is very run down. I think our mattresses and bedding was original from the 50's. The owner Richard is a little creepy. The small pool looks ok except we were pretty sure the owner Richard of the motel bathes in it daily. We could hear him moaning each morning as he stepped into the cold pool water. Made us really not want to use it. Good thing we were spending all of our time on the Lake, we were only using the motel as a place to cook dinner and sleep at night. Friendly management. Resort is closest to marina and corps ramp, which are probably 1/4 mile down to the lake. On an earlier visit, swimming pool was great and also available the pool has a covered patio with barbeque pits and picnic tables. (Great for gatherings, fishermen or family). You can also use BBQ pits at room door if preferable. There is electric available if you need to charge your boat at the resort. Everything about this room was filthy. Carpet filthy, AC vent/heater vent filthy (AC vent above headboard in wall), bedside table had liquids spilled on it from previous guest, bathroom floor filthy, dish drainer filthy, cobwebs under bed. Hopefully sheets had been changed but the rest of room had not been cleaned in any way. Blinds on window had gap and allowed anyone from outside to see inside room.
