Spruce Lodge — Hotel in Lakeville

We have been here twice in the fall and would love to visit in the summer months. It's quiet, plenty of wildlife, and more stars than almost anywhere in New England. It's so dark here you can see the Orion Nebula with a pair of binoculars; I've never been able to do that anywhere else in New England.

Aside from the amazing surroundings, Andy is a great host. Always accommodating and kind. Beds are comfortable, showers are hot, gas stove, plenty of space. Feels like home...

Nothings perfect- well maybe just one place. I have be coming to “Dobsis” since the 80’s. I have a camp here but on a couple of occasions I have a need to stay at spruce lodge camps. This place is just really really wonderful. Clean- equipped and quiet…. Day 2 .. FYI.. two 80 plus degree days- no A/C. I use OURA ring to track sleep . Both nights with no A/C but fans only I slept like a rock.. it cools down at night and no AC is needed…really. I was born in...

Great place to get away from the world. Rustic cabins with full kitchens bathrooms and heat. Amazing to have high speed internet avaliable in the cabin!
