Reposting of my original review, let's do pro and cons. Pros- nice owners Free firewood Quiet campground Nice pull thru spot (R5) Cons- The office/ check in place filthy. and no one there to greet you. The pool is absolutely disgusting, see picture Not what the website. shows. The grounds aren't as nice as the pictures online, grass overgrown, the gravel pads are mostly grass, lots of pot holes and mud holes. The wooded area for camping is even worse it's really hard to see where to camp, also looks like like a junk yard, several campsites have campers that look like they belong in a horror movie, not to mention what appears to be people living in the campground, and in filthy condition's trash all over the ground. In short yes it's close to the ruoff home mortgage music center but not an inviting place, camper beware, also not a place for children.

Pros: water hook up, 30 amp electrical, cheep, quiet, and the gentleman who showed us to our spot was a very kind man. Cons: the bathhouse isn't for someone expecting 5 stars, but it works better than a tree stump and a pine branch. You can also hear the interstate when your outside your RV. Overall: I would stay here again in an instant, the price and Mitch the were great. Plus we had a ton of room to ourselves.. more than I've had at any other campground ever.. and we all know how the $48 a night camp grounds pack them in.. Make sure to get site 53...

Pictures say it all. The WORST campground we have ever been to in our 46 years of camping. I can understand a few mud puddles after several rainy days, but it is clear that not much effort is put into maintenance or updates. If you are self contained with no need for a bathroom or water, this would be quieter than Wal-Mart parking lot. We do not camp at Walmarts, but their parking lots are much nicer than Glo Wood dumpsville campground. If the county health department checked this place I am sure it would be condemned.

We came here from Iowa to finally get to know our 18 month old grandson. I called GloWood first but they were full for the dates we needed, so I called SleepyBear Campground. We had reservations to stay at SleepyBear, but it rained the night before and Ranger Pete, turned out to be very unkind and extremely rude. He went from charging $40 per night, to boondock one night on his property and then move to the Campground the day after the Jimmy Buffett concert. I understood him to say, he only had electric and water in the campground. Luckily I called before we left Iowa to confirm our reservations because due to the rain and some flooding in the campground, he said we could not get in for less than $500! We thought we'd have to cancel our trip, and we were both, very upset. On the slight chance of a cancelation, I called GloWood again and spoke to Beth. I was still very upset and she could hear it in my voice. I explained, due to COVID, my husband had never met his grandson in person and what had just transpired with Ranger Pete. Beth was able to get us in the campground but not until Sunday, due to the concert. We made the drive out and stayed in Cabellas RV parking overnight, hooked up to our generator. Sunday, we checked in at 2pm as requested by Beth's husband, Mick. This campground is kept clean and nice. It is simple, but it has full hookup and the bonus is, we were charged $30 per night. Even with the rain and mud, we were happy to have a place to park our 5th wheel. We had some wonderful moments with the kids and grandson 💙! Beth and Mick saved our vacation! They are...

We reserved 6 nights at this campground, May 22-29 of 2021 back in early February 2021. We were very specific about the dates as this was a 2-week cross-country RV trip. As soon as we scheduled out trip, we sent notices to our children informing of the dates and locations... I say all this because this campground did not keep accurate records or log out reservation accurately. The day we were traveling to this campground, I called ahead to confirm the reservation was in order, and upon answering the phone was told my reservation had been given away because we were a "no show." This seemed preposterous to us, especially since the campground never bothered to call us or inquire. Because they had given away our reservation, we were left with a smaller site to use that did not have sewer hookups... Pretty annoying since we specifically booked full hookups for the week. We also had our electricity trip a breaker while we were there and was told, "that sometimes happens with 30amp hookups if you use your ac and microwave at the same time."... This seemed like nonsense to us as it had never happened before. The park was a bit unkempt and the owners keep their office in an undesirable state smelling of animals. Outside of these issues, the stay was ok, but we don't necessarily ever plan to visit the...

Not much in the way of amenities, but it's clean, quiet, and safe. In addition the staff are both attentive and kind. Exactly what I was looking for. There are maybe 20 or so gravel pull through spots that have electric, water, and sewer. The road to get there is a little tore up with pot holes, but perfectly fine for getting even a big rig into place. They also have some more woodsy area that has only water and electric. The place is surrounded by corn fields, and just far enough off the interstate to lose the road noise. But the exit, gas stations, McDonald's, and waffle house are just a mile or so away. The owners live on site, and are very kind and easy to get along with. They have always been quite accommodating for anything I've needed. The bathrooms are simple, but clean and well kept. There are a couple of shower stalls on each side, and the room is well lit. There's a small playground, but I find that the kids prefer to just play in the wooded area. We've spent quite a bit of time out there, and have never...
