Either the people giving five star reviews are lying or were high during their stay at the Pavillion. I tried staying there and it was dirty as hell. Pictures below are for proof and I don’t wanna hear some lie about how it’s typical in small town areas to have bugs and whatnot. Place is not clean and sanitary point blank period and when I brought these issues to the attention of the owner, she gaslit me about it. By the way, you’ll see in one photo of a dirty bunched up paper towel are dead bugs and bug feces from the refrigerator and freezer from unit 13. This review better not be taken down cause I will keep posting it if I need to. Update: I had not checked the review I made three days after I posted this and my response to Margie’s updated response she herself has made is this; six is not many considering that you even admitted to looking at my profile and have clearly seen not just negative but also positive reviews as well Like how 66 reviews for you are not hundreds. On top of that, looks like someone is obsessed with me. Otherwise, one would not feel the need to give more than one response to my review so looks like you need a therapist more than I do but I get it though. I have that effect on people.

Stayed here for our trip to Ricketts Glenn State Park,me and the wife stayed the weekend enjoyed our hike at the park to see the waterfalls, then drove back to our room ,and enjoyed a home cooked dinner at the room, which has a small kitchen ,out of the way place ,quiet, and the owner was very pleasant to deal with ,it's about 20 miles from the park, but it's less than 30 min drive and seeing it's really country you've got to expect driving anywhere ,we will definitely be staying again on our next trip to the park

Margie the owner gave us an amazing amount of personal attention when we leaving for our 20th anniversary celebration trip when there was a snowstorm in the area of the hotel. Since the power was out the first night at the Pavilion we had a reservation for, she very kindly made a reservation for us at a nearby hotel. Then the second night we stayed at the Pavilion at the Park. Everything was great there and I especially liked how quiet and peaceful it was for our stay. I highly recommend staying there!

I was looking for a place to stay (in the middle of the summer) that was not outrageously priced for a workshop I was attending at Rickett's Glen state park, while in Sullivan County, I planned to do some family research so I wanted to be close to Dushore, Mildred and Laporte, as well as World's End State Park.||||I found The Pavilion while reviewing trip advisor and other websites, and I found that the Pavilion offered a low price and a bed and breakfast experience so I thought I would try and it and I was not sure what to expect! ||||The Pavilion EXCEEDED my expectations 100 times over. It was AMAZING... INCREDIBLE... FABULOUS... there is no other way to say it. ||||The room was clean, it was a large room, that had everything you would expect of a bed and breakfast in a small quaint town. It was modern enough to give it everything I wanted.||||Michelle the manager was amazing, she personally contacted me by phone to talk about my stay and communicated with me, in a way, not many other manager\owner\ innkeepers have done. I appreciated that more than anything. ||||That personal touch was great, you knew she was there, but, she was not intrusive, as can sometimes be the case.||||I was sad to leave. It truly was my home away from home. ||||When I arrived, the first thing I did when I got to my room is took pictures of the room, the backyard area and the front of the building and sent them to my husband and told him that it was everything I had hoped for and then some. I told him that when we visit ||the area , that we won't stay anywhere else, but, at the Pavilion. ||||I know that everyone views things differently, however, this my third visit to the area in three years, we stayed at the Cherry Lodge, and the Tourist House and they truly were lovely, but, hands down for the price, service, and overall experience the Pavilion is the place to stay. ||||The only thing I would caution about would be that if you are looking for that total bed and breakfast experience that has no modern day aspects to it, then you may be a bit disappointed, however, for me, this is what made the Pavilion the best. Because, I wanted the bed and breakfast experience, but, still wanted a bit of "modern". ||||I am looking forward to my next visit, so Michelle, look for me...

There are not many lodging options in the area. Plus, like everywhere else, lack of staff limits the rooms able to be let in some places. The Plantation seems to have overcome this. We stayed in a large apartment behind the main house with a private bedroom with tv. and an open floor plan containing the kitchen/dining area and living room with a 2nd tv, and a private bathroom. There is a bed, a trundle bed under that, and a futon to accommodate others in the living room. There was ample hot water and the main house has a washer and dryer. The room proved to be pretty quiet, and the heater was adequate. We ate several meals so the kitchen was adequately supplied with pans/dishes/etc.||Pricing depends on the season - ours was $120 plus tax nightly - quite acceptable. They have 2 other apartments with other configurations, and several cottages which have less room and will rent for less.||This is located across the street from the County capital building as well as next to a small park. Very quiet neighborhood. We...
