
To Branch Manager: I went in to the Johnny Janosik and the manger was not helpful at all. The lady just kept trying to say it was my mother problem and it happened and now it’s over with. The manager did find my mother account so I do not understand why you could not find my mother account and you saying you the branch manager. Johnny Janosik need to get more organized. I also explained to her my mother is 84 years old now she don’t like trouble even though she did not get what she asked for she still paid every payment on time and did not miss a payment at all. The manager needs to be put in a customer service class because she get devious with some of her statements. I just left because I was not going to keep hearing to many more of those I like to avoid trouble when I can so I just left to avoid hearing any more. I am very hard on customer service because when a customer is spending their money, they want what they asked for and a sales associate a manager or owner of the store and all in between that works in the business should give that customer the upmost respect because that customer is what’s keeping that business alive so I am very hard on Customer Service skills. My mother was not given her firm mattress or good customer service skills at all. The way the manager acted after my mother was treated very unfairly the first time and me coming in the second time inquiring about this, and the manager acting the way she did was absolutely not called for she needs to be given some kind of talking to and as I mentioned before classes for customer service skills repeated if she had them the first time. This is very disappointing to me and my mother and at this point I don’t see either one of us shopping at Johnny Janosik ever again and anyone that is trying to or considering to go to Johnny Janosik need to think very very hard before doing so.
My mother purchased a bed it supposed to have came with a firm mattress it did not. I went in with my mother let my mother get on the beds until she found the bed with the firm mattress she felt comfortable on let the gentleman know that was everything my mother wanted and please have it delivered the same way same bed and same firm mattress as the display. He said it would be the same as the display so I believed him.The day of the bed delivery my mother said what she recieved was not what she picked out from the bed displays. This company do not give you what you pick out. This is called bad business false advertisement to me. I do not like how they treated my mother at all. My mother still paid for her bed because that’s how we are people do us wrong we still pay and we still come out on top with more because god bless us ten times more. We love the lord and we pray everyday for our family and for those that treat us bad and for those that treat us good. I hope this helps someone to please be careful when dealing with this company with any kind of merchandise make sure your getting the correct merchandise you want....
Read moreThis review should have been written a few years ago and I apologize that it's taken me so long to do so. In Oct and Nov of 2021, we purchased furniture from two different locations of JJ. Honestly we had a great experience with Roger And another sales person. But unfortunately that's where it ends. Between the time we ordered it and the time it arrived, it was a nightmare dealing With JJ and The third party that sends out The folks to repair the furniture. We ordered Three full rooms of furniture and they were kind enough to hold it for us until we moved. When the furniture was delivered Jan 2023 there were numerous issues. Practically EVERY piece that was ordered had something broken, missing or wrong with it. If I described Everything that occurred between 1/23 and 6/23 (When all of my issues were finally resolved), it would take pages. Calling the store proved absolutely useless. Multiple times I asked to speak to a manager But of course she was rarely available and I Did not receive a rtn call. The Managers (of not only JJ but this third party who was to come out to fix all of the problems) proved completely unavailable to me ... I logged in over 31 times I tried to communicate with This third party for them to correct the issues and JJ to follow up with it when the third party was not handling the situation . It was amazing how some of the furniture even shipped the way it was. It appeared as though it had never been inspected prior to leaving the warehouse and even the deliverymen said the same thing. Trying to contact someone directly to take care of our issues proved nothing short of a nightmare. Finally the only way I was able to resolve anything And get my issues taken care of was by contacting Dan Welch who was immediately on it. He contacted Pam Hoffman who is director of operations for JJ. Once they got involved, A repairman was out to my house within a week. Describing in detail the nightmare that I went through, the extremely poor customer service, feeling like I was not valued as a customer at all and having to deal with brand new furniture that had already arrived either broken, with marks on it or altered in some way, I again reiterated to Ms Hoffman how disappointed I was with JJ. I was not out for compensation but I have to say that spending several thousand dollars, I was extremely disappointed when I received a letter offering me a measly $500 credit towards a future purchase from their Delaware store. I had previously explained to them that shopping at their store was now inconvenient for me because I live approximately 5 hours away. I'm certain that I was sent that credit knowing that I would never be able to use it. Again I do not feel valued as a customer at all.. And still today as we are hoping to get at least another year out of the furniture, we are still dealing with creaking and cracking of the chairs and the sofa. Pathetic. Read morePurchased a lazy boy recliner sofa& a swivel rocker last year. Delivered on Feb 20, 2 days later I sent a picture to the salesperson showing a looseness in the fabric after sitting on the sofa. He agreed it was not normal and had some one come and steam the furniture but it did not help. I contacted them again and according to customer service, they sent their most experienced man. He told me the sofa in the store had the same rippled effect. I did not see it and we spent some time around the sofa, sitting on it and according it in the fabric and color of our choice. He told me I just needed to smooth it out every time I sat on it. I said I should not have to do that. He said that I had a year warranty to replace it if I was not satisfied. Jan of this year I contacted them as the sofa looked worse. They claim they sent the pictures to Lazy Boy who them claim said that was normal for the sofa. The same person who came out in March of last year came out and took pictures, which he did not do the initial time. They were courteous to me the first time they called but they never called me back. I waited a week and stopped in the store to see what was going on. This was before I found out that Lazy Boy said that was normal. I had not heard from them an I was curious what they had found. They left a note in my file. Another week came and no call back. I finally called and they told me that parts were ordered. I could not imagine what that could be. When I finally got a hold of Tommy from customer service, he said they had parts, cushions and padding. I said I don't' think that is going to help. They finally came with the "parts" 3 cushions for the seats but nothing for the back the original problem. They blew me off several times and delayed helping me until after the year date came. We finally got the branch manager to call us back. He repeated everything that they already told us and said that it had been over a year. I said no, I called 2 days after I received the sofa, have the email dated feb 22 2024 with pictures of the sofa. I said I never saw the pictures they sent to Lazy Boy. The last we heard from them was a week ago today when I sent him the pictures from 2024 and new pictures of what it looks like now. He has not responded. Judge for yourself by the pictures I have attached. They due not honor their warranties. I would think twice before purchasing from this store. This is the 4th sofa I have purchased (not from Janosik)and never had any problem with the workmanship. this was the first time ever.
