We made reservations in early May for Memorial Day weekend and received an email conformation from the owner (Brandon) that he had a full hookup site available for 3 nights. He took a 50% deposit for our stay that weekend. Upon arrival he stated he had me for only two nights and asked if my credit card had been charged the deposit because he had no record of the deposit. His reservation book showed us in site #3 for the weekend. He charged me for a full hookup site before taking me to our site.

He put us into what he continuously called site #1 but clearly is was just a grassy area between the already occupied site #1 and the dump station. The campground has very nice sites with a gravel base, relatively good size grassy area and full hookups in the first 16 sites. Seventeen through thirty-two are grass sites with only electric and water. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring except for the site we were assigned.

After checking my credit card statement the following morning, I found the deposit was taken in mid-May. After leaving a message with another employee Saturday morning about the deposit, the owner called me that afternoon claiming he found the deposit and asked me to come to the office for the credit. When I asked why the reservation book showed me in site #3, the original conformation was for a full hookup site and there was no immediate record of the deposit, he stated it's at the owner's discretion what site you are assigned upon arrival. No reservation is for any particular type of site or specific site number. He credited me the deposit amount and I asked for a free nights stay. He would not agree to the free night but would credit me the difference of the full hookup site and the electric/water site only.

There was no published policies provided upon arrival but the sign out front had two rules: Quiet time was 10pm and all pets must be leashed. Unfortunately the three sites across the road did not live by the leash policy and it was not enforced by the owner.

Overall the campground seems very nice, however I will not recommend or return to this campground specifically due to the owner's policy of reservations. Poor customer service is not good foundation to bring...

Great experience. Super friendly and helpful staff meets you as you drive up and checks you in. 15 or so sites for weekenders.

Sites don't have pads per se, you are allowed to park however works, and sites are slightly larger than most private campgrounds.

Very shady, with tall trees around the perimeter that provide excellent afternoon and morning shade.

Nice pavilion in the middle for gathering, but one star off for charging $3 for guests and no guest parking, making the pavilion useful only for gatherings of campers.

Possibly the best campground wifi we've ever used, probably due to the small number of campers. Definitely enough to stream movies, etc. Which is great because there's almost no cell service because the site is in a small but deep valley. (And peaceful, hence the name?)

Located super conveniently right off 169, yet set back far enough that you won't know it's there.

Showers and restrooms, two shower stalls for each gender. Showers are fully enclosed which is nice for privacy but not good for keeping mold at bay, and there's lots of mold stains. Showers/restrooms cleaned 3 times/day.

Restrooms dark, old, buggy and dirty in need of renovation.

Grassy, large, widely spaced, parking spaces; nice but more suited to tent campers. Some shade at low sun angles, no bushes between campsites, some large trees behind and between parking sites; be cautious backing toward overhanging branches at rear of campsites.

Small playground

Fire rings, old dirty picnic tables frequently used by squirrels.

Water and Electric only one electric box shared by two parking sites so one gets 30 amp and the other gets 15 amp or 50 amp.

No sewer hook-ups, dump station available

Pavilion in center of camp site circle is old and decrepit. Needs to be torn down before it falls down.

Lumpy Dirt roads, dusty dirt entrance road

Wi-Fi is only in the day room not at campsites

No rule against RV washing

Nice courteous staff

One dumpster not near parking sites (i.e. no stink, long walk)

No cable TV

Marginal cell phone reception

No over the air TV

Transient parking spaces are in a nice quiet tree surrounded hollow, shaded late or early depending on which side of the park.

Dog...

The owners were super nice, helpful and accommodating folks.👍🏻 This campground is very quiet! There is a lovely creek that flows through. I did not visit the shower houses. The sites were a little closer than I care for. And there wasn’t much space in our area to outdoor activities. I got the feel that this camp was more of a seasonal site for summer not so much a weekend gathering for those enjoying our camping season. I mean nothing negative in that, (just my preference). Noticed maybe the back loop was more weekenders? Chose this campground because it was close to kayaking however, the rain has been insane, for these poor folks! Lots of flooding around town. So, kayaking not option. The one thing about this campground is you are definitely protected in the valley. Was nice to keep the awning out and not be so windy. The Wi-Fi is awesome. There are no phone calls, but texting iPhone to iPhone worked. Some sites back up to the creek which was neat! They have a nice playground for the kids.

I was in water & electric back-in spot #17 for 3 days. This is on grass but level. There is a pretty creek behind the spot and there are little access points to get back there. The wi-fi was great in that spot. I was able to work so that was great. The bathrooms were clean and showers hot. There was a dump station on site and they have a hose there so you don't have to get yours out so that's nice. They just ask you to rinse it out when you're done. They recycle so that's good as a lot of times you don't find that to be the case. The only thing that was bad but understandable because of lo-cal was the mosquitoes. They were in abundance. I would have stayed longer but there were storms in the forecast and wanted to move on before they hit. I would stay there again.
