I booked last minute through Booking.com making my decision based on the name "Inn" and the room photos. I was traveling late and wanted a quiet place to sleep before I completed the 600 remaining miles of my trip. This is not an inn and it's a stretch to call it a B&B. This is a private residence in a rural subdivision far off the interstate. I was greeted by the hosts in their bathrobes and an apology that at 10 pm my room was not ready. The bedrooms are off a central hallway upstairs with the hosts' bedroom being part of that arrangement. The room was large but also so full of clutter that it was difficult to find a clear space to put my things down. The hosts are very nice people and accommodating. The problem is, there is no privacy away from the residents, it is not an inn, it is what one would expect from an airbnb. I received a follow-up email from Cedar Grove Inn after I checked out stating how much they want customer satisfaction. I let them know right away that their place did not live up to my expectations. They had noting to offer in return; clearly customer satisfaction is not a realistic expectation either. I will be extremely careful in booking anything through Booking.com again. At least with Airbnb, guests are given a proper ear, and listings are far more...
