This place is an embarrassment to the Comfort chain. We were in town for a corporate event, and a block of rooms was booked. We were first greeted by the front door of the hotel being non functional. They were sliding doors that you had to pull apart yourself. Entering the common areas, there was NO heat. The clerk at the desk was in a puffy parka. He also didn’t speak English very well, only a few words. As we continued on our way to the elevator, we noticed there was a great quantity of salt and ice melt on the floors. The elevator was slow and we noted a great amount of disrepair to the walls and hallways with damage, holes, and peeling Cove bases and several different colors of mismatched paint in a feeble attempt to over paint damage. We got up to the third floor and exited the elevator only to find that there wasn't very much heat in the hallway either. I entered the room and was surprised to find that the water in the bathroom was running and the heat was set high. Apparently, they believed they should have the water running in the room to make sure that it didn't freeze. I was also surprised to see that the nightstand drawer was halfway open, which made me immediately suspect that there may have been already someone assigned to this room. I checked around, and there was nothing in the drawer of personal effects . I closed it, and I noticed that there was a piece of tape on it, which I thought was strange. I went back to the restroom and found the toilet was so low to the ground that only a kindergarten student could fully appreciate a toilet of this height. The lighting was terrible in the bathroom. As I had to prepare for the evening events, it made it very difficult to get dressed and put on makeup, and adjust hair with it being so dim in the bathroom. Going out into the room wasn't any better. I attempted to turn on the light that was on the nightstand only to find that it was not very bright, and apparently through its lifetime, it had been thrown several times because I noticed the shade was not sitting correctly on it but when I touched it the entire lamp was loose. The other lights that were in the room also did not provide much light either. I also noticed that there was tape holding the door to the cabinet for the refrigerator closed. Damage to the walls was also present, and there were stains on th mattress cover, indicating that they were not regularly changed. The next morning, we packed up, and my husband went down, and there was NO hot food for breakfast offered. Cold cereal and bagels. AsI walked through the room, i noticed that the drawers to the dresser continually opened as they also needed tape they didn't have to prevent them from damaging my legs. I went downstairs carrying suits, coats, and a gown as there were no luggage carts offered. There were salt and tracks EVERYWHERE. No attempts were made to clean the floors or carpet all the way to the 3rd floor. There also was no visible staff anywhere that morning at the desk or breakfast area. I have been assigned to third world countries where the hotels...
Read moreI left my health insurance card, assorted gift cards, and two credit cards in my room when I checked out. About 40 miles down the highway, I relieved I didn't have them. I am called back to check and was told they would check with the housekeeping who had cleaned that room and call me right back. I never recieved that call back. I tried calling them again and again but got no answer. Because I was already behind on a very tight and urgent matter, I hoped they had just gotten packed in one of my bags. . NO! THEY WEREN'T IN ANY OF MY BAGS. CALLED AGAIN, This time when the gentleman answered he said he would check through the lost and found & put me on hold. I had told him along with my insurance card and two credit cards, were three gift cards: for Camping World, WalMart, and FastWorld loyalty card. He said there were none of these cards there in their lost and found.
A week later, on my return trip Guess What? They are there except the two credit cards. In addition they tried to refuse me the return of the three gift cards because they 'don't have your name on them. Both my bank card, capitaand Mastercard were not returned. They had been given my name, phone number (which they get from all guests). Never even tried to call me or return my call. I was not able to rent the truck I needed and had planned to rent on my return trip. Caused a lot of unnecessary stress, delays, and missed deadline. I know I am the one who left them but one would think with the contact information they collect at check-in and the items found in a room after departure, in this 🚍 of servicing travelers some effort to contact the guests would be standard. Especially with items as valuable to travel as bank and credit cards. In addition the guest computer was out of service. I asked about printing a document and was told only two pages. The document I needed to print was five pages. I even offered to pay to print the document and was told 'no'. Which is what lead to our rushed departure. The public library in Lee's Summit was happy to print it at ten cents a sheet. Beware and beware full if you stay here. Customer Service is not a part of your stay.

Read moreBeware! I have no idea how there are any good reviews for Comfort Inn - Lee’s Summit, MO. Not to be confused with Comfort Inn and Suites. I researched on 3 different websites before making a reservation. I’m assuming that they “fluff” their own reviews or their guests think that this filth is acceptable - I do not! Or maybe we just got a bad room, but either way, it is unacceptable - especially for the price that I paid. ||||The only positive is that they did not have bed bugs 🙄 (thank goodness)||||We reserved 2 nights, but barely made it through the first. We didn’t check in until 10pm and only stayed long enough to sleep (which I didn’t get much of because I was grossed out and it was very loud). We would have left that night, but we had an exhausted toddler who needed sleep. We checked out as soon as our child woke up and cancelled our 2nd night to stay in a clean hotel. We paid $92.35 to sleep in complete filth and I’m extremely unhappy with the room accommodations. ||||- Ripped and stained/dirty comforter (Underneath their brown quilt). Possibly even blood? (2nd picture)||- Handprint on headboard. ||- Nasty shower (that is dirty/staining, not shadows in the picture).||- Dirty washcloths with someone else’s hair all over them.||- The entire hotel smells so bad from their spray that I think is trying to cover up nasty smoke smell.||- Very noisy, thin walls (Highway and other guests). ||- Stained floors (couldn’t even walk in there without shoes on).||- AC/Heat looks like it has never been wiped down and basically explains what the entire room looked like. ||- The bathroom is extremely small - with the toilet in the way of the vanity, and the door in the way of the shower. **Had it been a nice and clean bathroom, I wouldn’t have mentioned it, but we were literally tip toeing and shuffling around trying not to touch anything! If you stand in front of the sink, your leg is rubbing up against their nasty toilet. ||||||Reserved with Booking.com||Confirmation #3060071855||Stayed: 12/27/19 - Paid $92.35 after tax. ||Cancelled 2nd night: 12/28/19||King room, non-smoking ||Room 204 (I think)||||||Comfort Inn - Lees Summit ||963 Southeast Oldham Parkway, Lees Summit, MO 64081, United States of America||Phone: +1...
