Couldn’t have had a worse experience with this place. We originally loved this place back in 2021 but ever since then we had multiple bad experiences where we will NEVER go back. I highly encourage people to avoid this place. They keep saying in comments to reviews about how when they have an INFESTATION of bugs that’s in not the norm…which is a crock of crud because the last THREE times we were there they had ANTS galore and spiders everywhere. The problem with this place is when they made them originally they were so nicely cared for and now they’ve chosen to do barely any maintenance and upkeep on them. We had called multiple times on our second to last trip to get a different cabin because it was so bad. It took them a whole day to literally have someone come over just to hand us a can of ant spray for US to deal with. They kept going on and on how they had ant traps under the sink..they didn’t have them under there. The screen doors don’t even close properly anymore which I’m sure is a large reason why SO many bugs get in. I get you are out in a natured area (we are big outdoor people) but I’ll tell you what I have had less bug infestation problems going CAMPING. The second to last time we went I was over 20 weeks pregnant and just felt so disgusted being there, oh also their showers leak out now and I’m pretty sure we found mold from where it was flowing out to outside the door and into the main area…

The last time we went was the last straw, we were bringing our infant daughter (it was our first trip since she was born and we also live 3 hours away from this place) I walked in and found ants and other bugs ALL OVER the bed and IN the bed, hair all over, etc. For how much they charge for even one night this is ABSOLUTELY disgusting and ridiculous. Felt like I walked into a 1 star motel.

My favorite part if that we purchased a getaway often pack, originally we loved this place and were happy to keep coming back but the last time we went I walked in and walked out and got a hotel because it was that bad of an infestation.

They refused to give us our money back even though we couldn’t even stay there. Offered us another cabin which I quickly declined because we stayed in multiple different cabins over our time there and ALL had this problem. They said they would give us a credit for a free night…WHY WOULD WE EVER COME BACK?!?! This place is horrible. Honestly we have considered going to small claims court because they wouldn’t refund us an appropriate amount of money back for the last trip that would equal out the remaining days of our getaway often pack because “there are no refunds”… well let me tell you something, when you don’t provide an appropriate service (aka do the bare minimum for what your business is supposed to be) then you should absolutely offer a refund. We are so disappointed and disgusted with this place physically and with the absolute disgrace of their customer service. Also, good luck ever really getting a hold of them. THEY HAVE NO LEGITIMATE PHONE NUMBER, and there email is a joke. I have been sure to tell every single person I know who has even remotely talked about wanting to go on just any vacation to avoid anything to with Getaway as a whole. Shame on this company for charging a boatload of money and then providing such terrible conditions, experiences and service to their PAYING customers. Bye bye Getaway and...

Our stay at Postcard Cabins Grand Junction, MI was exactly what we expected. We have watched some youtube reviews of a different location, first that gave some helpful tips. I hope to pass that along here. ||Pro Tips:|| 🌳 They have two towels and two wash cloths. If you are a towel person with long hair like me, take a couple extra towels. This way you can have on in hair and one around body so other person can have dry towels as well. ||🌳 They are correct when they say five minutes of hot water. Long hair? Turn off water while suds- ing. ||🌳 take your own coffee pot, coffee and creamer. They have pour over coffee you can pay additional for. ||🌳if able - take your own firewood. We only live two hours away so that was easy for us and we knew we weren’t taking wood that would bring invasive bugs, fungi, etc. but plan to spend $9.50 per bundle at the site. They have it - you just pay for the convenience of it. ||🌳leaving the cabin? Want to do hair or makeup? Take a hand held mirror. There is a tiny mirror inside cabinet door above stove. Itty bittty. But did the trick. ||Pros: ||🌳 the location is close to South Haven, Sagatuck, and Holland. We spent one day at Holland and another in Sagatuck. ||🌳 I laid in bed with window shades up for four hours and read my book. My husband sat by campfire outside window for that time. It was peaceful and what my soul needed - until….. see below 🏎️ ||🌳 it is honestly the convenience of camping in a camper without the hassle of packing camper, hooking up camper, leveling camper, hauling camper, dumping from camper. ||🌳 it was super clean, cozy, and had running water, hot water (short time), and normal - clean toilet right there. Great water pressure. Tall shower (unlike in camper). We are tall people. ||🌳 the bathroom has a little first aid box and I peeked in it for funsies. There were first aid things and feminine hygiene products. I thought that was sweet and clever. ||🌳 pots, pans, silverware, mugs, soap, sponge, trash cans and bags, kettle, fridge, blue tooth radio, all included. ||🌳 the bed. It’s like being in a treehouse all cozy and pretty and it was perfect. Fluffy comforter and four pillows. ||🌳customer service - there was a handwritten welcome note upon arrival and clear, friendly communication the entire time. ||Inconveniences not necessarily cons:||🏎️ three miles away is a giant racetrack. This is not postcards fault, but there was racing that started at 10am and went all day. Ironically, one of the things we wanted to escape was our neighbor at home that fires up his four wheelers on weekends and drives it all over his yard. And the other neighbors at home that live near us that use our road as a racetrack for dirt bikes. So when I heard these cars / bikes racing, imagine my thoughts. Look up the race schedule to avoid this. ||🚂 you will also hear trains. Being from northern Indiana - it was second “nature”. ||💰 for the price paid, it would be great to be able to NOT have to pay extra for smore kit, pour over coffee, etc. ||🚿 shower head kept falling off if we touched it to move the water stream. My husband fixed the gasket inside of it and reattached it.||💕We had a lovely time and will likely return to this place in the...

I am writing a pretty long review/message because this company has yet to give me ANY response to terrible issues I had at their space "ONITA." I was surprised by my husband. I've always wanted to stay in a small, intimate place such as these. To disconnect and have alone time. We travel a lot and we like to stay in unique places. I loved the spot. It was so cute, very neat, clean, and cozy. Loved the atmosphere. We went to eat in South Haven before starting our lovely evening in the "ONITA" stay. I went to sleep around 11 pm. It was hot and cold all night. AC would come on for a few seconds, then turn off. I was uncomfortable with that. I message the company around 3am because I couldn't take it. My partner is an HVAC engineer, btw.. They messaged us back with "instructions" on how to operate the thermostat. Okay....sure. we did that hours earlier. It was working just fine when we first arrived. We just lowered the temp a few degrees, and that's all because that tiny space cools off pretty fast. By 9am the next morning, I had bites all over my right arm, my neck, my right eye, chin and cheek, and knees. I noticed bites in a pattern, and it was extremely uncomfortable. I went straight to Google with search and did any image search of the bite pattern. Most results were "bed bugs"... so I messaged the company within a timely manner to let them know of the issue. The place is so clean and neat. I did not think to check for anything. Now, I've taken photos hours before stay, during stay and after. I've sent photos to them of the issue, but they have "forwarded it to the "appropriate department." " .. this was last week on 7/29. I missed work on Tuesday, which was the very next day because my body had a reaction to the bites. I just wanted some response and or/accountability from this company. I'm sure someone from their maintenance/cleaning staff probably didn't check really good towards the window where I slept. Between wood and small cracks. These specific bugs come out at night. They're nocturnal bugs, but that doesn't mean you can't see trails under the bed or on their lovely white sheets below. Let me tell you. After a few hours in there. I already wanted to book another stay because I liked it that much but.... after this experience and terrible customer service. I will not share this place with my family and friends who always end up booking places I stay at and recommend to them. I did put some stars because I did like the location and spot itself before this...
