Really wonderful property, sits right above Lake Michigan. The staff are wonderful and you can tell that this is a place that people come back, year after year.
Our family goes to Michigan every summer and this was our first time in Leeland to Jolli Lodge.
We stayed in Hilltop and other family members stayed in Northshore. Overall, these two cabins are very rustic and need some lovin’.
The heat was oppressive the week we were there but that was just the luck of the draw. There were old fans and we brought fans of our own thankfully. There is no A/C in any of the cabins, but my guess is it is never needed.
It would be fantastic if the property could invest in new furniture upgrades in general- lawn chairs and deck chairs. All of the lawn seating is very worn and old around the property. We had a nice new outdoor dining table at Northshore, but the majority of the lawn chairs and such are in need of replacing.
Set your expectations before you come. It is very rustic. Spiders and mice all over the cabin. Truly, spiders everywhere (floors, ceilings, beds) which is tough on the kids.
Our children had the time of their lives with the play set and the little play house. They were in heaven with the other children on the property and played all day.
You can’t beat the atmosphere, it’s truly a special facility. I would just recommend some overall updating to the furniture - the Hilltop cabin specifically, it is extremely dated and would benefit tremendously (bathrooms, twin mattresses, kitchen supplies). Perhaps a good “gut” of the place could also help keep the spiders down.
3 stars for Hilltop/ Northshore stay. But we looked at a few of the other cabins before leaving and those look a little more updated /up...
Read moreSo this was an impromptu and the most amazing find that my husband and I and our friends found while traveling the West Coast of Michigan. After some Wine tasting and the rainy weather we decided to look for a room to stay over night in Leelanau instead of driving home. We came upon the Jolli Lodge and they had two rooms available and we took them without really knowing what this place had to offer. We were pleasantly surprised and overly thrilled that we made this impromptu decision! The rooms were amazing and so clean. The Staff was absolutely wonderful and Dillan is the best! This is a family owned business and the family treated everyone who was staying there like family! The main lodge has the most amazing and cozy fireplace. We even got to hear Dillan play the guitar by the fire! We met people that was staying there and say that they are repeat guests and choose this place every time they visit Leelanau. This Lodge is very close to The Wineries and Traverse City. This will definitely be a repeat place that we will stay at again in the future! Oh' and did I mention, "the VIEWS of Lake Michigan from this property was absolutely...
Read more5 stars isn't enough to describe this place. My daughter and I discovered this place after a horrible incident with my purse being snatched leaving me with what cash I had in my glove box and we were 4 hours from home and and had nowhere to go and decided to ask if they had any availability for a one night stay, which we thought would be impossible because it was a weekend and there were lots of events happening in the area. Originally we were told that they required a two night minimum stay and they weren't sure they had any availability. The receptionist went to speak with the owner who allowed his employee to make an accommodation and allow us to stay one night and only be charged for one night, which I had just enough money to pay for. The staff was so friendly and kind. I will forever be grateful to this place for the kindness and compassion we were shown. This place is also conveniently located right on the beach where my daughter was able to find many Petoskey Stones and enjoy a campfire right on the beach, she went from feeling scared and unsafe to feeling safe and as though she was in paradise within a short...
