Interesting Campground, owners and management were very helpful and supportive. We came with a large group, Maryland Camping Club, with about 35 or more RVs and families. A lot of open areas and wooded areas for group settings, great places to walk and explore. Huge open fields to let dogs run (away from the campsites), fishing pond, lake. Overall the camp gets very quiet at 9 or 10 PM (WISH the pool was open at night, no desire to swim in the August Sun and Heat), our group was busy all day with kid and adult activities and ran until 3 or 4 AM. No complaints from the seasonal sites as there was quite a bit of seperation due to the open fields and wooded areas between us.||Location is very good. Basically 15 minutes from anything you might need or want. Piney Point, Pax River, nice restaurants, charter fishing, boat tours Museums.. a little further is Webster Field, Point Lookout. Boat tours to Smith Island. ||Overall a pleasant surprise, nicer than we expected. We really enjoyed our weekend even with the heat and humidity.. thank God for the mature trees and all the shade!||I would rate this 5 stars, but the campground does need updating, but it seems they are working on it. What is there seems to be well maintained, and kept up.||I read some other reviews and I'm not sure what some people's expectations are for a campground. Or group was very happy and I believe...

Although the park is filled mostly by long-term itinerant construction workers along with what appeared to be many permanent local residents living in trailers, the office makes no accommodation for "c/o" US mail. Additionally, during my stay they quit accepting packages for campers from UPS/FedEx, etc. The bulk of the trailer sites are closely packed with little privacy and poor ambiance.
This is a very large park and during our stay close to capacity, however the amount of expenditure on facilities maintenance, guest services & capital improvement seemed disproportionately low relative to the apparent revenue-flow of the business.
On the plus side, the campground is pet-friendly and much of the facility (away from the trailer pads) is park-like. The swimming pool is nice and well-maintained.
It worked out OK economically for us as transition living in-between home closings, but it definitely isn't a...
