My family recently booked two rooms at the Hilton by Spark and had a truly disappointing experience that forced us to leave the property altogether. We initially booked two connecting rooms 317 and 319, but upon arrival, both rooms had a strong, pungent, musty odor. Room 319 was especially concerning—the ceiling tiles above the shower were badly stained and appeared to have mold growing on them. Due to the overwhelming smell and visible signs of moisture damage, we went to the front desk and requested a room change. We were moved to rooms 320 and 321. Room 320 seemed to smell a bit better, but the odor was still present. 321 had the same strong unpleasant, pungent, musty odor. Once again, we returned to the desk to ask for another room, and this time were placed in 304. While the odor was still present, we decided to tough it out since it was getting late. That changed when our daughter, staying in room 320, called us in a panic after seeing a roach crawl across the TV screen and disappear inside the unit. That was the final straw. We packed up immediately and left the hotel, finding accommodations elsewhere. After doing some research, it appears that the roach was likely a German cockroach, which, according to PestWorld.org, can be identified by a distinctive musty odor if they are present in large numbers—something we experienced in all the rooms. So what I was at first thinking a smell caused by mildew and moisture, was most likely an odor from the roaches. This experience was completely unacceptable for any hotel, especially one under the Hilton brand. Roach infestations are major health and safety concerns. We will not be returning and strongly caution others considering this property.

Booked using my points while traveling home from a family trip. This is truly Hilton's answer to a Motel 6. The rooms look like a M6, feel cheap like a M6 and smell like a M6. Cannot believe Hilton would put their name on this brand! Three words to describe it: cheap, cheap, cheap. Our room smelled damp, the linens felt damp. We were very tired, it was late and there were no other rooms. Will never stay in one again - horrible. The shower is plastic and seemed dirty, no cups in the room, no microwave, mattress is cheap and lumpy, room is sparse and furniture cheap. Just stay in a Motel 6!

The room is fine but the breakfast is mediocre and the website is a a lie. They have cereal, yogurt and bagels with a side of rotten oranges. I can’t believe someone would think it is ok to leave out bad fruit. Worst of all, the Hilton website has pictures of a closed pool and a gym that do not exist. It is false advertising. Do not be deceived by their website! What hotel can’t offer even the basic gym offered. I never would have booked the hotel if I knew there was not a gym.

Ok so the hotel is definitely in need of a facelift but it did the job for a quick overnight stay. I’ve stayed here multiple times throughout the years on my way from Montreal to Florida. Sure the room is not perfect and it wouldn’t hurt to remodel the whole place but, the staff is truly amazing. So helpful and kind, the front desk staff at checked-in were fantastic, friendly and answered all our questions. They provided stellar service! We don’t return here every year for the hotel but because we are always so well served. Our room had everything it needed and in working condition, bedding was comfortable. The hotel is also conveniently located right off the I-81 with a gas station right in front: everything you need to quickly get back on the road. We always leave earlier than breakfast time so we never tried it but the complimentary coffee in the lobby is...

This Quality Inn is little different from any other budtget motel. The room was fine, slight smell of cigarette smoke, but otherwise about what you would expect.||||The reason for the 5* review relates to the staff. By accident, I left my keys in the room when we departed. When I realized it when I got home that evening, I called and talked to the very nice desk attendant that I had met two days earlier. Cristina had my keys in hand from the return from the next room occupant. She and management staff returned the keys to me, without charge, the next day. I can't say how much that meant to me.||||Additionally, the breakfast room lady was so nice and helpful. This rating is to give proper recognition to the friendly and caring staff. If in the area again,...
