We just spent the last 4 days at Rustic Knolls. It was a large family trip and we rented the Polynesian Village. This area must be rented together and is perfect for large groups. It includes 4 camper cabins, full kitchen cabin, 2 bathrooms with showers, fire ring and covered picnic area. We also had a group in a camper spot. The cabins were a perfect size! They included full over full bunk beds with a futon that pulls out. There was a table and mini fridge also in each cabin. It also had quite a bit of storage! The kitchen cabin was better than expected! It included a full size stove/oven, fridge, propane grill and coffee maker. It made it easy to keep things organized! It also was stocked with utensils, plates, bowls and cups. The bathrooms were nicely sized and each included toilets, large sink and showers. Also, the main shower house is very clean if that is preferred. We had people of all ages in our group including a total of 8 kids ranging from ages 1.5 to 17years old. They had a blast! Between the pond with inflatables, fishing, the park, basketball hoops, the game room and Karaoke on Saturday night we rarely heard the usual “I’m bored” complaints! There are also plenty of places to ride bikes which we will bring next year. Overall, everyone had a great time and we have no complaints. Everyone we encountered was very friendly - staff and other campers. The camp store was nice and had lots of items. We did follow the rules so I’m sure that helped our experience but we felt the owners were very nice. We loved it and are in the process of booking again for next year!! Definitely recommend visiting Rustic Knolls!

This has quickly become our favorite place period. We found Rustic Knolls about a year and half ago and were drawn to them because of their inflatables and pond. We have been to other similar camping sites with similar attractions and hands down Rustic Knolls is the cleanest, family friendly place we have found. When we venture elsewhere we kick ourselves because no one does it quite like Campmaster Frank, Patty, Cathy and all the other staff. Our family spent multiple weekends last year, they always have activities planned for the kids - complete with announcements over the campground speakers. They have great internet and we got cell service but to be honest we spend most of the time off our phones enjoying each other. (Patty is the campground photographer and has made my life as a mom a lot easier because I don’t have to take the pictures!) Bottom line - we can not say enough good things about this place. I was hesitant to write this review because I don’t want too many people to know about our ‘little slice of heaven’ but the owners and staff deserve to know how much we appreciate them!

I had stayed here for my sisters bachelorette party. We had booked a sight way up in the woods in a nice quiet corner with no-one around. I stayed Friday night with one person to set everything up for saturday night. Saturday we left the site from about 11am until about 10pm. When returned again, it was only myself and one other person, the other girls were in town at the bar. The girls did not return that night they stayed in town. I myself had picked everything up and went to bed around 1 or 1:30. Where i had actually made a bed in my trailblazer and slept. The other person there with had stayed up and talked to the people that camped below us. Their car alarm had gone off, and disrupted some campers. However. Today, july 29th at roughly 10am, I was woken up to someone pounding on my car window yelling "GET THE F* UP, GET THE F* OUT" it was Frank the owner. He said my camp site was a wreck and he had noise complaints about all the girls yelling all night and partying. (The girls that were not there) I had gotten out of the car and asked what the issue was. He told me "Get this F*ING PLACE CLEANED UP, NOONE LEAVE UNTIL ITS DONE". I told him "Noise complaints??? There was noone here, they didnt come back last nignt" Frank went over, ripped open my 2 tents and started searching the for the girl. AGAIN, they weren't there. He parked a big tractor in front of our way out around 10:15 am. First off, the site was NOT a mess, the only mess that had been there, was from racoons or something getting into stuff. Second, there was no party because the girls didn't come back. Thrid, blocking us in with a giant tractor! NOT OK, actually very illegal!!! Fourth, the way that was handled was WAY unprofessional and out of line. There were also other peoples cars from where we had met saturday morning at the campsite and carpooled to the river with eachother, he wouldnt let any of them leave with their cars or anything. My sister had arrived (who the bachelorette was for) around 10:50am with some of the other girl, needless to say she was FURIOUS. we had called the cops and he was made to move the tractor. We had until 12pm to get our lot packed up and cleaned for check out time, but he had still blocked us in. I had come to this place years ago when i was a little girl, many times a year with family friends and my parents, we rented 4 and 5 lots at a time, when frank and norah ran the establishment. Those times and memories are what brought me back after all those years. NOW, This is the worst experience I have ever had at any camp site. I will not be back nor will i recommend this place to anyone else. This man is just aweful and rude, Norah and Frank would NOT be proud. If anyone can tell me how to upload pictures to here I'd be more than happy to share what the site looked like, and how he blocked us in!...

This campground is one of my favorites when we have the kids in tow. This place is family owned for 3 generations now and it SHOWS. They take great pride in their campground and the experience you have there. When I get out of the car, the thing I notice is the sound of children- not screaming and making you nuts, but laughing, calling out to one another- like my neighborhood in 1985. There is a swimming pond with mult floatie slides/bouncies etc- small ones in a sep section for littler ones (added 2021). Small beach on the pond, small fishing pond, small creek. The pond is better than a pool- our young teens will spend an hour at a pool but hours at this pond. Speed limit is strictly enforced at 2mph- so your kids can safely ride bikes. Theres a game house that I never seen anyone in bc the kids are outside! They have activities every wknd- some better than others. We were there most recently for the camp wide water gun fight. You would think ok thats cute for the kids. Till the owner comes through on a truck bed with a huge power water hose! My husband and I had so much fun and the teenagers loved this too. Theres a rule to keep music within your camp and be quiet at 1030 but it really gets quiet by 10. We sit outside then with our music and a drink and fire then bc everyone with small kids is exhausted and has gone to bed. Its peaceful and beautiful- park like setting even though its camper/rv right next to each other (unless you’re primitive) bc its well treed throughout and also out in the middle of the country- no open field stacked with RVs. Read the camp rules you are provided when you arrive- bc theyre funny. :) Im not sure how much fun the campground...
