We visited on December 16th. The weather is quite mild for this time of the year. There was practically noone at the park. We brought our bikes and dog. We had a great time exploring on our bikes. There are lots of updates since visiting the last time. The beach parking has new blacktop. Of course no swimming was going on, but there were a few beautiful birds taking advantage of the quiet and still waters. We heard some unrecognizable to us bird sounds. The play grounds for the children looked like a lot of fun. Piper loved running around exploring and chasing after her chew toy. There are a lot of nice spots to choose from, that is if you can find a date they are available. I'm sure they bookup early. The restrooms were mostly nice outhouses, with a couple well placed shower facilities. We can't wait until we are able to come back and camp. I hope you get to visit, save us a spot. It is a smaller park,...
Read moreSpecifically states on their website that dogs are not to be left at camping site alone and also cannot be left in car. So as I was camping alone, I took my 10 pound white eskimo with me into the shower. When I came out I was being screamed at by one of the female employees yelling, "No dogs allowed!" I told her it says nothing about no dogs inside buildings on your website, but it does say they are not to be alone. I also was allowed to take my dog into the little store with me, so I am not sure what this employee's problem was. Can the workers at least get on the same page? Also, this place is being taken over by the raccoons! I know camping, you will come across them but this was an infestation! No dogs allowed but allow all the raccoons! Lol,...

The only thing I had a problem with was we had a 3 x 6 fence up for our small dog to be in so she wouldn't have to be on a very short leash all the time and we were told to take it down. Not allowed. In all of the other parks we have been in this was the only park that was told we couldn't use it. We don't put her in the fencing area and then leave her unattended. We're out there all of the time. She can't climb out and we're NOT going to let any other animals in there with her....
