We stayed in Gracie and Twinkle’s room through Airbnb. This was definitely one of my favorite stays anywhere! Such a cozy location and the room was huge! Our host Matthew was very kind and helpful. We loved sitting on the front porch in the morning enjoying the summer breeze. A bit off the beaten path but that’s exactly what we were looking for in our road trip through Vermont. Caution- the stairs are a bit treacherous due to what I imagine is the age of the home. But once we were upstairs in our suite, we felt absolutely at home. Would absolutely recommend to anyone going through the area.

I rented the 'Whimsy Suite" through AirBnB and it is simply lovely! The suite, and the Old Hotel is like taking a step back in time to the early 1900s! A slower, easier paced, simpler time. The entire hotel is charming, immaculately clean, and quiet. My suite, is just the same. Comfortable, clean, well appointed! I'm kind of sad that it's just a one night stay!

Stayed here while travelling around Vermont in October for leaf peeping, and found it very pleasant. The rooms (I believe there were 7) are all on the 2nd floor (stairs only) and you share bathrooms (believe there were 2). Big bathrooms, filled with all the linens you need (and a lock obviously), and some basic toiletries (shampoo, body wash). I stayed in a single room (mind no TV - possibly applies to all rooms), the bed was unfortunately a bit noisy everytime you moved a muscle, but I feel asleep regardless. There is wifi on the property (free) which in my case worked very well. Breakfast is served downstairs in a big dining room as of 8am. I needed to leave 7.30 so the innkeeper who is very helpful arranged it for me earlier - much appreciated! It's a no frills property, but super charming, so I would definitely...

So peaceful and quiet. Great room and bath across the hall (all ours). Delicious homemade bread (from someone local) for breakfast. One flight of stairs (a bit narrow, but no real problem). Reasonable rates. Krueger machine for coffee and tea and hot chocolate with half and half in the refrigerator. Toaster available for that great bread and plenty of butter! If you're traveling the north end of the Green Mountains, this is a great place to stay. Note, only travel across the Lincoln Gap during daylight hours (we did with the dwindling sun and it...
