We used his RV park a year ago and found it lovely. This year we stayed one night because we were returning home from a winter stay elsewhere. We registered in the office and were given a map. We were met by a gentleman in a golf cart who told us to unhook our car first and that we needed him to help us find our site because we would not be able to find it on our own. We followed him through the winding path of the original campground and across the street to the new build. These lots were much bigger and more spacious, but we discovered we had to back our motorhome in… Not really a problem except we backed it clear to the very edge of the back of the lot and still had to connect another 10 foot septic hose because we could not reach the sewer hook up with our 20 foot hose. In addition to that, the site ran slightly uphill towards the back and so in the morning we had difficulty dumping our tanks. The design wasn’t user-friendly.
Once we got everything hooked up, we left the park in our car to go visit with friends. When we returned at 9:30 at night, we entered the main entrance to the park and discovered that the map we have been given did not have anything drawn on it to lead us to how to get back to our lot. We started driving around trying to find the little street that we had crossed and got completely lost. We called the after hours service person who sounded like we woke her up (which she did tell us later that we did.). She was unable to get her computer up and running and couldn’t seem to understand our problem. I think she thought we were trying to check in. We had to call her back twice and she called us back once. By then we had finally figured out the map, which is very confusing, and managed to get ourselves back to the lot by about 10:00 pm.
We were both very upset and irritated. The bottom line is, someone at the office should have drawn on our map so that we could have figured out how to come back after we left. We didn’t bring enough bread to leave a trail of crumbs the first time. 🙄
We tried to call the office this morning at 9 o’clock to just give them a heads up as to what happened. We don’t really like to write a review if we can talk to the owners and just tell them. The automated system told us we had zero people in front of us in line to speak to an operator and then promptly told that there was no one who could take our call and to leave a message. We tried to leave a message but just gave up and decided to write this review.
There were also only three stalls for individual bathrooms and showers for the entire section. It’s a good thing there wasn’t a line. I did not see the laundry room so I don’t know how that was.
While it’s a very nice park, there are some design flaws. Not sure we will stay...
Read morePros: I have none. : (||Cons: 1) lack of communication - we traveled from Colorado to see family and called daily & left voice messages attempting to obtain late arrival instructions. No callbacks were made to us prior to arrival. When we arrived an envelope was left with our name on it. **Suggestion - to avoid this situation add your late arrival instructions to either your website or email confirmation.||2) sites where it appears no one is occupying the spot the area is used as a parking lot. When we arrived our site was blocked by the neighbors' car and we unnecessarily had to make multiple attempts to back in our rig. The next morning the couple arrived from out of state and moved their car. ||3) although we were occupying the site another car blocked our allotted space. I called the office and was totally surprised someone answered the phone. After explaining what was happening, she came out and tried to locate the car owner. The car owner finally showed up and moved their car after visiting with the neighbor across the street.||4) You can have Amazon deliver your packages to the office. What you may not know, the packages are left on the front porch for anyone to take. The office assumes no responsibility. Suggestion - I would use an Amazon locker.||5) The streets leading to the park do not have shoulders and big rigs may have issues with the tight streets and tree branch overhangs. Also, the office is located in the older section and the street in front of the office is wide; however, the office has you traveling through the old section which the streets are very tight. Suggestion - if you are staying in the new section, exit back through the front area and enter on fish trap road.||6)Safety Concerns - unstable gravel site. Please understand we brought all of the listed concerns to management with no resolution. Management offered no remedy. We were not expecting monetary compensation just someone to address our concerns or acknowledge them. As of 12/2/2021, no one with management made any attempt to contact us to offer assurance our concerns would be addressed. So the next RVers do not have the...
Read moreMy husband and i are currently staying at this park, rates are fine, park is clean and spots are wide enough. in the bad side, wifi sucks to the point that you have to be close to the officce for it to work, pretty bad for an rv park of its size. some spots get flooded everytime it rains to the point that we had a total loss claim to our insurance on one of our cars, and the management people didnt even bother to ask if we needed any help, why would they even lease a spot when its raining season and they know the spot gets flooded and still charge you the full amount on rent?? . If you need propane its better if you go somewhere else because if you go in the officce and ask about it they keep staring at you and say they will send someone to help you with the propane refill and it may take hours and no one will assist you. Now some people stayin here is really nice , but some others are rude as they can be. they have a zero tolerance policy for all the rules but it seems like it only applies to some people, not all. the speed limit according to the management is 10 mph and you get to see people driving like if the road had no end and if they were running out of time, but like i said management wont say anything , and they even said they were pretty strict about it when we arrived. we have two dogs and always pick up after them and always have them inside, leashed when we walk them and in a kennel when we are just outside, and we were told that we would be asked to leave if we were to have them off leash again when we have never have them unleashed unless in the kennel. it seems like if you have a neighboor you dont like you may just go and complain about anything even if its not true, do it a couple of times and you can get rid of them with no proof needed about the complain. thats how their no tolerance policy works. So if you ever decide to stay at this rv park make sure your new neighboors like you, or you may be asked to leave for no reason and no proof needed about...
