I’m so impressed with this camp site. The well stocked bathroom is super clean and has a shower and hot water. There’s a sink and counter for washing dishes. We stayed in the primitive camp site area where there’s a fire pit and grill with a griddle. We came by canoe and there’s a long ramp (approximately 400 ft) to the camp sites but they have wheel barrels and wagons that you can use to bring your supplies up. For our group of 8, it was nice to stay on the primitive side where we had the entire place to ourselves. However we were able to use all the amenities. We especially want to thank our host, Billy who went out of his way to make our spay extra special. At the dish washing sink, he provided a coffee maker with coffee, sugar, and creamer. He also provided a waffle maker if you wanted to. Since we originally planned for a true primitive camping, we had all needed equipment and supplies. But then Billy went into to town to get us cinnamon rolls because we had a hankering for them. The stay is free with suggested donations of $5/pp per night. In addition to donating to the park to help maintain the park, we gave Billy some “thank you” tips as he doesn’t get paid to be the amazing host. Highly...

Wow!!! IT is by far 1 of THE best camping sites around hands down🥰. Screening areas with CEILING fan... like we Floridians are grateful for anything that can move a breeze right around 🙏 Jun till NOV just about...

Now let's talk about the amazingness of tons of trails to go on besides the availability to camp in two different ways depending on your preference. Wonderful couple onsite, wood is available for a donation.

They offer different types of grills both above and in the ground perfect for smores or just warming up around at night.

Pets on leashes are...

Although this shows up as a campground on the map it isn't accessible to drive in and camp. It is one of five camps along the Suwannee River that can only be gotten to from the river. It is part of the paddling trail established by the state park service, and it is recommended that you make reservations. It's called the Suwannee River Wilderness Trail and it is for people who are kayaking or canoeing...

I am very impressed with the overall facilities. Hot showers, grills, fire pits, tables, screened in area for camping, hooks for hammocks, electric hookups, fan, portable water, and the park staff member on duty was so helpful. The only downfall was the dock. The steps are a little dangerous. They do provide wagons to haul your things to the top.
