Yellow Rose Cabins — Hotel in Livingston

I have stayed here with my family several times. I've read all of the reviews out of curiosity. This is a great place to get away with your family and the lake is absolutely beautiful. The pictures you will take are amazing. The trees reflect on the water. It is absolutely gorgeous. I have stayed in several of the cabins...all nice in their own way. The owner, Sandy, is very down to earth and a very sweet person. The worst I have heard here is a few comments on the cabins being clean or that they are outdated. I will comment on both of these remarks. I feel the cabins could be cleaner at times, especially the floors and the fridge. I've stayed in other nice cabins and have experienced some of the same. You are in the country. There is sand plus this is a popular spot so I think sometimes there could be a rush to get things clean before the next party shows up. I do know Sandy will do her best to work you in on a cramped schedule. The outdated part...I think Sandy was aiming for that true country feel. Yes, you will feel like you have gone to visit your grandma or great grandma. This is not "glam" camping if you are looking for that. I've stayed often in the Hill Country. The owner is very professional and friendly, she keeps the cabins and grounds very clean and she makes sure you are welcomed and everything you need is in place. A hidden gem that's for sure and I will guarantee you that you'll love it and return again as we will and you'll recommend it to all as we are doing. So this place is for sure a great fun getaway for the whole family or a great romantic getaway for couples. There are multiple great cabins, we stayed at the one called the Lake house. I couldn't thank Sandy, the owner, enough for one of the best experiences in my life ever. Comfortable beds, great views.. I don't have enough time to write about all the great things about this place just know that I promise you once you have stayed here you'll return and then you'll recommend it to all as I am. My best friend and I rented the Lake House for 2 nights and moved to the Yellow Rose Cabin for our last night. Being from the city this mini vacation was like a dream come true. All the properties offer a perfect experience with nature and the outdoors. Waking up to the wide view of a peaceful lake with trees abound the distance is refreshing and inspiring. The owners are very nice and hospitable people who made us feel welcomed with the Texas southern hospitality visitors from around the world seek out. Sandy, the owner has the homes decorated so nicely with charming artifacts related to fishing and overall pleasant, dream like living. I am a journalist and author and the environment is also perfect for opening the pathways of the mind. I highly recommend this huge property of homes, cabins, and more to choose from for family, friends, or lovers.... You won't be disappointed. Next time I go back I'll be sure to jump in the pool out front, go fishing, and take the motor or row boat out into the lake. There are also many paths to lovely nature trails within the woods on...
