Westgate Landing Regional Park — Hotel in Lodi

Very awful lady. We drove up and before anything like "hello" or so she yelled that it's reservation only and that's camp rules so we need to get out. Please note there was 1 car on the entire property. It was empty... It's also 730 pm on a Monday. It most likely will remain empty tonight? Anyway, no problem, many other spots to camp.

So we said ok no problem, turnt around to leave and then I stepped out of the car near the entry to quickly put some water in my face before getting back on the road. It's a hot day and I'm pregnant and we had been driving a while. She took like 2 seconds to come after us in her golfcart to angrily repeat her park rules and tell us to get out now.

... no joke. It feels like a joke writing this down!! Why would anyone host a campsite with such surprising anger?

I don't know what is going on there or what happened to her, but it could be empty there for lack of...

Just a scouting expedition for later bank fishing and picnicking use. Fairly easy to reach, although the last mile or so is unpaved road. Relatively deserted on a Saturday afternoon. One other day use family and about half a dozen campsites in use by RV's. Camp host. Self service fee payment system. $5 for day use ($6 on weekends). $25/night for camping. $20/night to use a boat slip. $30/night for large boats (25' - 40', I believe). Day use hours are sunrise to sunset. A fishing dock is available up a ramp or stairway over the levee. Pleasant enough place. Will update with a fishing...

I love the quiet serenity of this haven. Clean, quiet, with cottontails hopping along the blackberries. I Love the small store and flea market near the park. I like the host Sue and her big boisterous boxer. Charlie works at nearby store, He's a sweetheart. Laura works at the adjacent country flea market. She is also kind and personable. Unfortunately, the water is unsafe. Bring your OWN water for EVERYTHING. Don't use ANY tap. Don't swim, don't touch caught fish until they rinsed in clean water. I'll attempt to upload the county warning signs...
