Grand Bentley Lodge — Hotel in Logan

We arrived at this property in Hocking Hills, excited to have a relaxing girl’s weekend enjoying the outdoors, which is why we chose this location. Unfortunately, there was a major problem with the septic tank that made it unbearable to use any of the outdoor space. It smelled like raw sewage anytime we tried to be outside. We were unable to enjoy sitting on the front or back deck, using the fire pit, grilling the food we brought to grill, lounging around the pool or sitting in the hot tub. It literally smelled like we were inside a filthy porta potty. We called the property manager and someone came out, acknowledged that it was a problem, and laid lime and straw over the leach field to mask the smell. This did not make the smell go away. We had to stay indoors for the majority of the stay. After our stay, we reached out to management again, kindly requesting they make this right, as we spent a lot of money for a long weekend in an outdoor setting, and were unable to use any of the outdoor amenities. Not only did the property manager refuse to make things right, she was rude about it and then she left bad reviews, full of blatant lies on all of our guest’s Airbnb profiles! Last year the cabin was dirty. Different cabin and they need fix sinks, shower heads, tolit seats, leaking tub Through the ceiling, and get windows locks fixed! Not cool. But everything else was awesome. Beautiful settings. Rooms were great. Outside...

The structure itself is awesome. But lots of wear and tear has led to lots of things needing replacement or massive repair. Couches, chairs, pool table, poker tabletop, hot tub jets, and even the fridge (didn't get very cold)...
