My SO and I are not new to visiting Hocking Hills, but this is our first visit to Frontier Log Cabins. We were looking for a new spot for our yearly trip, and we've found it. From my early research I found Frontier, and emailed a few questions. Less than 24 hours later I received an email response from a gentleman named Phil, and after a brief exchange of answering my questions I had made my reservation. We stayed in the green cabin, it was clean, had everything we needed, and the surrounding area was absolutely quiet and serene. Phil (who turned out to be the owner) was friendly, attentive yet left us alone (cabins are about a quarter mile from the office) to enjoy our stay. If you're looking for a cozy getaway - this is your spot. Not that I want to rush summer, but I'm already looking forward to next year - might even try to do two trips a year like I used to at some point. What also really surprised me is the great wifi/Internet access, and streaming ability of the TV. We don't have cable at home, but do have Sling, etc - so we were able to "bring" our TV with us! While it's nice to disconnect (local area definitely doesn't have reliable cell service) it's also handy to have as well. Lasty, be sure to take the on property trail to the pond and feed the fish.

This was our first visit to the Hocking Hills area. We stayed in the Green Cabin and I do not have a single negative thing to say about the cabin or the service given to us! Micah was so helpful during our check in process! The cabin itself was absolutely amazing! Exactly what I had pictured and expected! It was well stocked with every day essentials and immaculately clean! Each morning we enjoyed walking to the on-property catch and release pond to feed the fish with fish food provided by Micah upon our check in. Absolutely beautiful and so very relaxing. The entire property is breathtakingly beautiful. A fun little addition was the “Where’s George?” game hidden within the cabin. Previous guests hid dollar bills and wrote down hints as to where to find them. Once you find the dollars - you re-hide them and write your new clues down for the next guest to search! Just too cute! It was really nice having the hot tub available to climb into and relax after a long day of hiking. Super clean and well maintained. We will be planning a trip back to the Hocking Hills area and I will definitely stay at one of the Frontier Log Cabins properties again! Thank you for helping to make our visit such an enjoyable and memorable experience!

Are stay at Frontier Log Cabins was for us 5-Stars ! Located around the corner from Lauraville and 20 minutes to Ash-Cave the Cabins are located on 50 + Acres with trails and a pond. Philip the owner was Great to speak too and his family really takes care of the grounds. Are Cabin we rented was the Red-Cabin. It had 2 Queen beds, 1 down open to the living room and 1 in the loft. We stay at a lot of Cabins on are trips and this by far is the Cleanest, the crew they have does a Amazing job 👏 Small in size and very rustic it gives that feel of what Daniel Boone might of stayed in. This Cabin also had a Hot 🔥 tub facing the woods. Will definitely rent from Phillip and his Family again.

Our family would rate our stay at Hitchin Post 10/10 stars. The location is fantastic and centrally located to all the fun outdoor activities that Hocking Hills has to offer. It also has beautiful trails on its property as well!

The inside of Hitchin post was awesome. It easily accommodated our family of four. There were three bedrooms, a huge full kitchen/dining area and a nice great room. A king bed in the master, Queen bed and couch in the second bedroom and one bunk bed in the last bedroom. Two huge automatic reclining chairs that you see in some movie theaters and another couch. Personally we think this place could accommodate 8 people without a hitch :o).

This companies preparedness was most impressive. Dishes, silverware, all the paper products that you need were there. Young's family market was less than 10 min away if you forgot food from home. Cooking meals in the cabin was not only economical for us but allowed us to spend more quality time together as would eat and play games or watch a movie on the huge TV. Whether it was the cute porch, patio table and chairs, the gas grill, the fire pit with chairs or the amazing hot tub......This place had so much to offer!

Our stay was during Christmas and one day after the Bomb Cyclone. Even with the sub zero temps, Frontier had a plan for everything. Pipes froze and they were on it. A heater failed and they were there on Christmas Eve with an awesome space heater. Some might look at the last comment as a negative but we didn't. Micah was the MAN!!! He made us feel like we were the only guests staying on their property. He was kind, patient and so timely. Things in life happen but it is how a company reacts to the challenge. The family who owns/runs Frontier Cabins is on the ball! Our family trek traversed 3 states over a week and 1,800 miles. Our three stay at Hitchin Post by far was the highlight of our trip. Our family would most definitely recommend that if you are traveling to the Hocking Hills area that there is only one place that you should stay. Call Phil and his son Micah and they will take...

We looked at other sites and organizations who offer rental accommodation similar to Frontier Cabins. However, we really were 1st impressed by the video of our cabin we selected. The video of all three cabins was well made and presented an overall snap shot of what we could expect. When we arrived, we were not disappointed and there were no surprises and our expectations was well met and then some! We met the owners and connected with their warm spirits and hearts right away and resonated with their history and their continuing work of preservation and stewardship of the land and its history. While modern and updated, the cabins have the essential raw elements of what Frontier Cabins were like back in the day. Mike reestablished those elements with craftsmanship and Teresa finished the rest with time period décor and furnishings that tied all the elements together into a great cabin rental experience that we really enjoyed. We both enjoyed the walk to the pond through the pine trees having a respite along the way with strategically placed benches all of which grant the oneness of the trees in solitude. We also caught a few fish and saw a turtle, a few hawks and made some new friends with the local song birds. The cabins were close to everything and we really enjoyed the peace and quiet amongst the trees in the evenings after a long day hike, sitting on the front porch in the rockers and just relaxing. If you like nature, the sun glistening through the trees with beams upon your face hearing the song of the trees blowing in the wind overhead, the peace and serenity with the Frontier log cabin experience, then this place is the place to be for your body, souls and spirits, for surely rest, love and blessings are found here.

We absolutely loved our time here!! Phil was very welcoming and explained everything about the cabin and the area when we checked in. We fell in love with the cabin when we saw it. A wonderful, secluded cabin in the woods. It had everything we needed. We brought foods for breakfast and lunch and were able to prepare those easily with the stocked kitchen. We had dinner at The Ridge just down the road for 2 nights. We had a great server, Jersey that made it fun to be there. She told us about the donuts on Friday and Saturday mornings. We grabbed some of those on our last morning... Delicious!! The hot tub was wonderful and we loved that it was enclosed. The temperature was great. It was just a great stay in a relaxing and beautiful cabin that was all decorated for fall. We also took time to hike on the trails down to the pond. Not too long of a walk but very nice and scenic and there were some nice benches around the pond that we could sit at. Phil had given us a bottle of fish food to take to the pond with us which was fun. When we registered we were able to select if we wanted to have a cake during our stay. It was an extra charge but we were happy to do it. We were staying for our anniversary. It was one of the most delicious cakes that I've eaten. So yummy and so well decorated and such a blessing for our time there. This cabin has everything that the website mentions! You will not be disappointed. I have already highly recommended it to several friends since returning home. We stayed there October 5th through 8th and the weather was beautiful. We went hiking at Rockhouse and to Old Man's Cave. Absolutely beautiful trails. Our last night. We drove to Nelsonville to see a play at the Stuart...
