6 hrs and 12 mins from muskegon, michigan, secluded cabing, with private hot tub 🏞️ 🧖‍♀️ #roadtrip #cabin #Michigan #Travel #ohio

This review is for 29841 Phelps rd, for the Cozy Cabin. The blue rose cabins are the owners, but for some reason google isn’t recognizing this address 🙄 Overall the experience was great! The location was awesome. It was quiet and without light pollution (minus the neighbors) all in all though it is a cheap stay for all of the more important things to do in the area. There were some glaring issues that I will address to hold the owners accountable to these issues. *the stove smoked out the cabin, even with the doors open. Def needs a better cleaning. *washcloth left behind in the deck from prior visitor, also a pack of newports under the bed and a pretzel under the nightstand. *The outside of the fridge is rusted, although inside was pristine, this is just appearance based. *The toaster bottom was broken off *The hot tub had way too much chlorine *The curtain rod to the sliding glass door break just by opening the curtain *The sliding glass door was busted *Their is a leak under the kitchen sink *The propane grill was turned into a charcoal one. Like I said in the beginning though, I would stay again despite all of that. lol.

Cabin shows lack of effort for a comfortable stay. No screens in the windows or sliding back patio door. Couldn’t have the windows open to enjoy the breeze. Bed is not made for more than one, metal frame was unsteady to say the least and I believe had been recalled last year. Hot tub had debris/leaves in it with no coverage over it to allow us to sit in yesterday as it poured the rain. Outdoor table/chairs and inside table/chairs are not made for adult sized humans. Couldn’t find one spoon to use. Couch was covered in some sort of cloth that smelled of bo. Definitely glad we didn’t stay longer than the 2 nights. And if you do not have a AWD or 4x4 you are going to have a tough ride up. Also what the heck is going on at the base of this hill with all the rusted out trailers, garbage and trash? That alone made us instantly want to go home! Gross. We drove 2.5 hrs for this mini stay and I’d rate it a 2/10.

DONT DO IT! DO NOT STAY HERE! If I could give negative stars, I would. My friends planned a bachelorette trip for me and booked the Olander cabin. It was probably one of the most disgusting places I have ever been to. Not only is it outdated, and needing desperately freshened up- it also is FILTHY! Visible dirt, hair, bugs, rodent droppings, left over food from god knows when, trash, and MORE. The worst part is the layer of grime on the floors. My cousins feet were BLACK after about 20 mins post arrival. There were no brooms, only a swiffer wet jet that had probably a 1/2 inch of dust on it with no cleaning solution for it. The shower was gross with someone else’s hair. We didn’t even feel comfortable showering.. the whole cabin smelled musty and moldy. There were sections of the walls just coated in dust. The porches were disgusting, wadded up old dirty rugs laying around, fire pit area is not nice at all.. the hot tub buttons were broken, you can’t even turn off the jets to ensure it is clean. We opted to skip the hot tub and not catch flesh eating bacteria from the water. The couches were so worn. The list goes on and on. We reached out to the host only to be met with a reply that “the floors can be scrubbed, swept, mopped 3x and your feet will still be black.” And that “it’s the polyurethane” that is causing feet and socks to turn black. Never offered to send someone out to clean, no nothing. the smoke detector was off the wall and in the kitchen drawer. We were worried to even sleep in the beds due to the state of the rest of the cabin. I would never stay here again, and had we been given the choice to leave- we would’ve. For the price of this place-I cannot believe how filthy this place was. It looks nothing like the pictures online.. which are clearly photo shopped. Thank god we only booked one night and got out of there first thing in the morning. We stayed up as late as possible to avoid having to get in to the beds. Such a waste of time and money…. And memories for my bachelorette trip which was meant to be low key and relaxing. I will even be throwing away my slippers that I had no choice but to wear constantly to avoid getting the filth on me. Unacceptable & I hope they get shut down until they learn to clean their cabins. There are so many reviews online, google, Facebook… all of that stating how filthy it was there and their other cabins included. Someone needs to...

I WOULD GIVE ZERO STARS IF I COULD! I booked this cabin for an overnight stay that was unfortunately cut short to only 2 hours of total stay by a family emergency. They refused to refund me any of my money and said it was a possibility of a credit for a night. However, this cabin is not suitable for the cost and you can get so much better for your money. Do not get fooled by the pictures like I did! They have a picture of a bathroom that is not even the bathroom of the cabin, which makes sense because the bathroom floor is peeling up and there is a disclaimer above the toilet assuring you that the toilet is clean, despite the discolored water. LETS REVIEW THE HIGHLIGHTS: There is a junkyard at the end of the road before pulling up to a weird wooden box with a telephone, which will be your last phone service including your cellphone, despite being nearly a mile from your cabin The driveway in is riddled with potholes that will beat the crap out of your car if it's a sedan. The front porch light was out, which made walking out emergently in the dark very difficult. MULTIPLE areas of rot in the foundation, and as mentioned, bathroom floor The bedrooms have just enough room for the full size beds (states queen on booking) with one foot on each of the 2 sides of the bed not touching the walls. No closet space or dressers Outdated EVERYTHING. You can tell as soon as you walk in that there is a musty, mildew smell. All of the furniture and appliances appear to be from 1970. Full chlorine bucket in a 4 person hottub. Water was probably 30% chlorine. Terrible customer service! States there is video surveillance at entrance. Based on my conversation with customer service, I don't think that works. Charged $70 to clean the cabin after 1 night... it's 500 Sq. Ft. We had 3 paper towels in a garbage can and used 4 of their bath towels.

PLEASE don't make the mistake of booking Big Woody cabin or any other Blue Rose Cabins. There are so many better places in hocking hills...

We stayed in Naughty Pine cabin. It was cute but dingy and dirty. Especially the bathroom! The floors and stairs were so dirty that we couldn't stand to be barefoot and had to wear socks! We lost electric at 7pm and called to make sure they were aware of it and they were. By 9pm it was dark and we looked everywhere for candles but found nothing. I tried calling again to see about them providing candles (so we could see to prepare food and have light to see in a cabin we've never been in before!) and the voicemail message instructed people to go to Walmart to buy supplies and even buy water to flush the toilet!! We were on a motorcycle and we were not riding in the rain to go to Walmart for candles and especially for water to flush the toilet!! How ridiculous of them to advise that! We went to bed early because we had no light and couldn't do anything. I politely requested a partial refund due to the dirty conditions and not having adequate supplies for such power outage events and the ridiculous notion to go buy them! They responded with saying "no matter how many times you sweep and mop the floors white socks will pick up stuff from the hardwood floors." And " I am sorry but we are not willing to offer any type of refund as per our policy." Almost $400 for 1 night in a dirty cabin (with a sign suggesting to leave tips for the house cleaner!) for my wife's birthday was the worst thing I've ever bought her! The hot tub was nice and worked until the electric went out. I will never recommend this cabin and will share my experience with others. Poor customer service and they didn't even listen to what i wrote to them! They thought i was complaining that my socks got dirty but in fact, we had to wear socks to keep our feet from collecting all the crap from the floors! I sure wish I looked at the Google reviews before I booked as I now see they are rated at 2.1 stars and I completely...
