The Trails Inn is everything you need - and that's pretty much it! This property is in a fantastic location - very close to the Hatfield and McCoy trails for your off-roading needs. There was plenty of parking at the hotel for truck, trailer and 4 ATVs. The owners were friendly and very helpful!||||The room was clean and they do offer free wi-fi (although the wi-fi was sluggish - I tested it at about 0.8 Mbps down and 0.01 Mbps up...good enough for email, struggled with things like video) . There is a TV that works in the room and the AC worked great. There are enough meal choices close by - some within walking distance, some a very easy and short drive away.||||The place lacks a bit of polish - the towels were kind of old and worn, the bathroom door didn't lock properly, but the price is fantastic (~$40/night at the time of this review) for their location to the trail system. ||||We enjoyed their facility and sat outside the room in provided chairs both nights we stayed there. We had great weather and enjoyed sitting outside in the evening after a long day on the trails.||||At the end of the day, this is what you need - a safe and clean place to sleep when you aren't on the trails. At this price, you can't beat it. I would...
Read moreArnie and Ashley are the hosts with the most! We traveled 18 hours to visit this beautiful area and could not be happier with our decision to stay at Trails Inn! From the time we booked, multiple email and phone correspondence with our many questions leading up to our arrival, they made us feel like we were their first guests. Arnie and Charlie not only provided us with wood, but started our fire in their pit so our party of 8 could relax and enjoy the Mountain View from their “back yard” .. Arnie also made sure their gas grill was ready for our food as well! I don’t know how they could have made our stay any more pleasant and we will return! As a matter of fact part of our group is going back in September with different riders! With Arnie being a native to the area as well as a trail caretaker if you will, he was a wealth of knowledge we valued! It was our sincerest pleasure to have spent our vacation at this great place and we look forward to our next visit! Happy...
Read moreI've been riding the trails of southern WV for well over a decade. I'm from PA and obviously go for longer periods of time to make it worth my long commute. This past week, my wife and I stayed here along with a few friends. I'm always quite the skeptic and my wife is rather on the picky side. Our standards are fairly high, and well...you can call us needy if you feel that describes us best. From the the moment we arrived Saturday afternoon until the moment we left the next Saturday morning, Arnie(the owner), Ashly(his wonderful other half) and their crew of helpers, attended to whatever needs we had. Daily room cleaning and 24 hour security was at the top of our "grateful for" list. Their friendship and outgoing personalities were unexpected and much more appreciated then I can explain. If you're looking for a place to stay that benefits a hard working man and his surrounding community, consider staying with them. You won't be...
