This campground needs to be closed down, the septic leach field has collapsed when you get a number of days when it rains it back flows into the septic tank causing it to overflow, this goes into the well system and the water stinks and tastes bad, fortunately you can buy water in town for .25 cents a gallon. The lots are small and not maintained with frequent power outages, the pull through lots are in the grass and are often muddy. They have two small play areas both by the road and a small pool [ frequently green ] all poorly maintained. The office is rarely maned with the exception of long weekends, you have to sit and wait to be noticed or look for management plus the camp store has nothing in it and again you have to look for management. Internet is very poor and no activities at the club house except Sunday church service by the manager [ THINK JIM JONES ] plus the bath house and restrooms are disgusting. Just a couple more things, this park is situated 100 yards from a main rail line and you have heavy trains and train traffic and it crosses county road 600e the train whistles are constant day and night. If you have pets they must be on a leash,if they get off the leash you will be confronted with a manager that needs to take anger management classes plus they have a angry old maintenance man that does not like animals that will gladly shoot them with a b.b gun I...

Overall great experience! From the folks in the office, the weekenders, and the full time Campers Everyone is very welcoming and RESPECTFUL! I've traveled the country for work and stayed about Every where, it's very nice being able to leave your doors unlocked with zero worries, come back to smiling faces after long days and if you need anything at all there is more than enough open arms ready to lend a tool or a hand! The water is great with plenty of close by hookups and likewise with power! Playground, pool, and basketball court for the kids, river to fish/kayak, and some trails for exploring. The weekends have plenty of folks to throw down some cold ones all day yet not worry about anyone keeping you up with loud noises. Personally have zero complaints, one thing that the very picky may mention is the train which runs through town you can hear.. has not been a bother to myself....

Rented 3 electric sites for 4 tents. Rerented one of our sites to a camper. After talking with the host I was told " he was working on the site". He wasn't....fully set up campfire and beverage in hand. They did have a customer appreciation day while we were there, bounce house and BBQ. There is a pool, was supposed to open at 10, we went down at noon and had to get employees to unlock and wait while they tested and treated the water. The campground does offer use of bicycles of all varieties, that was nice. Be warned it's right next to the train tracks and it runs and blows the horn all hours of day and night. Stayed 2 nights. Do not think we will be back, host was not pleasant...

Great place to camp. First time here and everything went well. Stayed in the primitive sites on a motorcycle and there was plenty of available spaces. Nice and quiet for the most with the exception of the freight trains that pass along frequently. Might be a deal breaker for some but I still had an enjoyable stay. Bathrooms where clean and air conditioned. Would definitely return. Make sure you can get in before nightfall so you can check in before the office closes.

Can’t believe after all the years I’ve been coming here in my tent or camper I never left a review! What is there to say this has been my favorite campground since I started camping. I come in the tent in the spring and summer and every Labor Day now I tow my camper here for the holiday! I feel like I am part of a family when I am here! Everyone is so nice! Couldn’t recommend this campground enough! Thank you for always welcoming me to join yall!

This is a very nice and safe campground. We stayed for several months in a two different sites. One site on the river and one by the laundry. The bathrooms and showers are the cleanest of any campground I have ever stayed at. Staff is very friendly. I thought the price was a bit high, but I checked every other campground around and found that they were one of the least expensive.
