Nothing impressed me about this resort. We went for a family reunion and rented several of the cabins and a few camper spots. The camper spots were literally on a gravel rode in which vehicles were driving through. So you step out of your camper and cars are driving right past your door 5 feet away. The cabins were nice, but for our purpose of a family reunion, all the cabins were separated from each other, so there was no gathering space together. I would have preferred all the rented cabins be together. Check out was 9 a.m. which seems too early compared to other places. We asked to have extended check out, and they said no. On top of that, we were expected to clean and strip the beds before we left at 9, otherwise we'd be charged extra. The swimming area was not ideal. It seemed unsafe and unclean. The boat loading/unloading area was part of the swimming beach. There were no swim area ropes to designate where you can swim versus where the boats were launching. Their was a gas pump 20 yards from the swimming area and you could see swirls of gasoline (or something?) sitting on top of the water you were...
Read moreThis review is for their restaurant/bar which I visited with my wife, Mom, and two young kids. It's small and not super fancy inside, typical bar & grill atmosphere, but boy is their food great! Everybody enjoyed what they ate. I had a fried fish sandwich and the fish was super crispy, juicy, flaky, cooked just right. The fries were also crispy and fried to perfection. It's weird to say that a place makes the best cheese curds... Aren't all cheese curds the same? Turns out no! Their cheese curds are the best. Surprisingly my wife and mother both said they were the best cheese curds they've ever had. The cheese is quite salty! In the best way!
They have arcade games for the kids, and also shelves of board games and other stuff to entertain people on a rainy day.
I came here on the recommendation of a coworker, a lifelong resident of Osakis who said their food is so good that's what she brought home to her husband on his birthday. And I'm...
Read moreMy family recently stayed in cabin #2 This place is not "luxurious" or "fancy" The full sized mattresses are kinda hard with scratchy sheets (I'm pretty picky :/) and the pull out couch should never ever be used. It was so old and thin (this is not me just being picky, no one should attempt a night on the couch pulled out!). Other than the sleeping arrangement the place was fine. They provided some dinner wear, cooking utensils, and cutlery. The general atmosphere is very family friendly and relaxed. There is a beach to go swimming, a playground, and paddle boats. You can also order food like burgers, sandwiches, pizza and some breakfast items. I got zero cell service which was not such a bad thing, it was nice to disconnect and just be with the family. We already put in reservations for next year. I'm bring my own...
