Lisa William's the owner-host along with the cutest little dog, was so nice and so hospitable. For anyone looking for top notch-a beautiful bed and breakfast please stay here. Lisa made every effort to make sure our needs were met. The house was built approximately 1864 and was beautiful! Very well maintained and beautiful decor. We could tell that a lot of planning through passion and love was put into every detail throughout this beautiful house. Note: If you book directly with her you will save money instead of going through a booking site.

This was one of the best stays we’ve had on the entire bourbon trail! Spacious, clean and comfortable rooms with all the amenities you’d need. The hosts could not be any nicer or accommodating and they were attentive to our dietary restrictions which was so appreciated. Breakfast was delicious every morning and they always have coffee, tea, and small snacks available. Large common areas make it great to get to know other guests, but rooms are also very quiet so you don’t hear others at night. Absolutely would stay here again!

Just spent a couple of nights with Lisa Marie and Rudy James at the Hill House Bed & Breakfast while touring some of the great distilleries of Kentucky. Conveniently located just minutes from the Makers Mark distillery made this the perfect choice for my wife and I to stay. Lisa Marie made us feel at home and welcomed us into her beautiful home. Breakfasts were wonderful and just added to our overall experience. I would highly recommended this location if ever traveling through the area!

. ||Without a doubt, The Hill House Bed and Breakfast is one of the most luxurious, charming, and just so good that it’s almost decadent, destinations! ||The vibe and decor is an eclectic mix of yesteryear meets modern, bright and airy! It’s a perfect blend! The new owners are still ongoing their projects of updating many things; yet it seems as if everything has already been done! There has been no detail left out! ||It’s spic and span CLEAN from top to bottom! |Super Cleanliness is a big PLUS for me!||The breakfasts are absolutely SCRUMPTIOUS! The presentation in the Dining room is where the experience starts! Presentation truly is everything and The Hill House has it! ||Jim and Cheryl are both very creative people! I’m sure they’ll keep the updates going until they have it just SO-SO to meet their level of what they want this lovely home to be! ||My cousin and I had a 2 night stay here while visiting the Bardstown KY area. I stayed in the Maple Room. My cousin was in the Magnolia room. I couldn’t have been more fortunate than to have a chosen the room that just absolutely was everything I’d want it to be. (Be very careful of the lower |door knobs or you get locked in your room. Jim is going to change out all of these. You’ll be fine if you don’t lock that bottom doorknob!) ||Thank you so much to Jim and Cheryl that made our stay truly enjoyable. Jim, an extra thank you for helping me exit out of the parking lot upon departure in the rain on those curvy roads. To Cheryl, I just hate it that with the rain and all that I forgot those amazing leftovers out of the fridge. I sure was looking forward to that later this evening! You both went above and beyond! Best of wishes to you on the rest of your Journey! ||I have just a couple of tips for anyone traveling here. You need to physically type in the address into your GPS. If you don’t, you’ll end up like me driving in circles in some of the most beautiful farmlands and rolling hills I’ve ever seen! That part was great, but, you may panic, like I did! The location is very easy to pass right by it and end up doing this.|However, it was because I spoke my GPS instead of actually typing in the address. ||Also, if you should have any physical limitations, be aware that there are stairs down to the patio and then of course if you’re staying in a room on the upper level, there are stairs.|This is an Historic home and there are no elevators. ||Also, be prepared for a lot of winding roads in the areas between Bardstown and Loretto. The roads themselves are beautiful, but there are so many people that live there that drive SO FAST around those curves, that I was truly frightened a couple of times. I suppose the locals know the roads and they’re not concerned. ||I hope someone in the City Council, or the Mayor, becomes concerned, and SOON. Better to advice their residents to cool it on these roads before someone dies a tragic death here.|I hate to write that but I don’t want anyone harmed on the roads of Loretto, KY. I can’t believe the local law enforcement doesn’t seem...

Do you need somewhere safe to say? Do you want a comfortable safe place to be? Do you want food and drinks close by? Then book your stay NOW! The booking process is easy/online and the communication with the location extremly prompt. When you arrive the house is right off the roadway, with a gravel parking lot behind the house with plenty of parking. You are greeted kindly and taken to your room. The room was exactly as advertised. We stayed in Dogwood. Accessable only by stairs. This is the largest room on the property and it did not disappoint. The room was decorated so well, the king bed was comfortable, and I can not say enough about the bathroom/shower. The word that come to mind is luxurious. Everything was clean, well stocked, and lovely. We slept so well, ate well and enjoyed the conversation/company each day we were there. I really enjoy the personal touches thoughout the home and with our meals. One of my favorites was the different salt and pep shakers on the tables that changed each day; my favorite being the avocados. Breakfast times were posted along with what the meals would be. I was curious about the banana split thinking how strange an ice cream dish would be for breakfast, but it was actually a banana yogurt berry granola breakfast dish that I really enjoyed and now because of this moment in time I will incorporate this dish in my life moving forward. The ingredients used were fresh and paired well with everything plated. With water, coffee, tea and orange juice to drink we were both filled up when we left the table. Got myself a treat this morning with a mimos this morning ! We were told they recently received their liquor license and are able to sell drinks. We unfortunately did not have an opportunity to partake in this trip but definitely plan on being back. Great location to be for enjoying the local adventures in rolling bluegrass hills of...

The owner kept pushing wine on us and I didn’t think it was appropriate especially since my spouse has a drinking problem she didn’t even ask if anyone had a drinking problem so I was not happy about that. Secondly when we got back from our concert on August 25, 2023 we went to get something to eat and my husband misplaced her keys so I knocked on her door and it took forever to get her to answer and I nicely said my husband misplaced your keys can you let me in well you would of thought I said I’m head to rob you lol 😂 when running a business like this you should learn to know that people come in at different times and sometimes misplace the keys WE DID NOT LOSE THE KEYS WE LEFT THEM FOR HER IN OUR BEDROOM DOOR WHEN WE LEFT . She was already texting us early that morning on Saturday August 26 to check out even though even checking in she told my husband if he wanted an extra night it was ok. This woman will harass you every morning and the street is so noisy you won’t get any sleep. I swear there are tractor trailers up and down that road before daylight and...
