The Honking Goose Inn — Hotel in Loudon Township

Loved it! I found this Christian Retreat gem on Groupon and decided to spent my 1y anniversary with my husband here in the middle of August. It was secluded and def off grid due to the in and out wifi signal. Lots of green space and fresh air. The mosquitoes are unforgiving though. Our room was decent sized. Be prepared for quite a drive when looking for restaurants and places of entertainment. The hosts are great, and I enjoyed breakfast here. My massage was AH MAY ZING!! The little bridge is so serene and looks over a beautiful pond that has enormous bass (I think they were) swimming in it. It's a great spot for prayer, worship, morning meditation and devotional. I was so at peace here. I recorded the sounds just to take a little piece of this place with me. The hosts were knowledgeable about the area and we're respectful of guest privacy. I just wish there were more entertaining options on site. The booking process was simple and communication with them was a break. My husband and I recently stayed at the Honking Goose Inn and we both loved our time there. The owners are very sweet and kind. Our experience was very peaceful and tranquil. This was our first bed and breakfast experience and it definitely felt like home. The homecooked breakfast meals were amazing. My husband enjoyed the theater room as well as the popcorn machine. The chocolate chip cookies with walnuts that were in our room when arriving were delicious. I absolutely enjoyed the hot tub at night time too. The 2 day package was a wonderful deal and both my husband and I enjoyed our morning massages as well from the masseuse therapist. We look forward to visiting again in the near future. Thank you!:)

This was a wonderful place to disconnect and recharge. The hosts were beyond nice and even adjusted our meals to fit our diet without us even requesting it. The pine room was spacious and well appointed. Loved having the gas fireplace and jacuzzi tub all to ourselves. Definitely plan to go back and would advise any of my friends to do the same.

Important note! Your cell service maybe spotty or even nonexistent. That was a plus for us, but be aware. They do offer wifi, but its rural speeds, once again a great plus if you're looking for a comfy place to get away...
