I wish I could score higher than 5 stars. And, my written communication skills will not do this incredible place justice. From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave, the staff of Windy Hill Farm is taking care of you. ||We just completed a three night stay. Courtney welcomed us with a tour of the farm. We stayed in a standard cabin and it was extremely comfortable. The bed, linens and amenities were top level. And the view..breathtaking. ||We were provided with a golf cart so we could explore the grounds at our leisure. This was a pleasant surprise, but very well appreciated as the grounds are quite expansive.||We did archery with Rachel. She was incredible with her tips and skills, and she made the event extremely fun and un-intimidating for someone that has never done archery before. We really enjoyed this activity.||Alice taught us so much about beekeeping. I had no idea we would learn and enjoy this activity as much as we did. ||The cooking lesson with Chef was absolutely incredible, we learned a lot, and the chicken was so tasty. I'm really going to try to make it.||We enjoyed the hikes on property and saw chipmunks, turkeys, deer, eagles, and lots of other wildlife. And thanks to the two workers that rescued us from one of the longer hiking paths. Not sure we would have easily made it back to the cabin.||Three meals a day were included with the stay and they were the highlight of the weekend, especially dinner. The entire wait staff were incredible. They were very attentive, personable, and genuinely cared about our experiences. But the food...Chef created a really talented menu and the combinations and flavors were outstanding. They have their own garden so many of the items are straight from the garden to the table, so they were extremely fresh. ||And then you finish the night off with s'mores and a campfire. On Friday night they had a concert for us. ||You interact with a lot of staff from guest services, wait staff, grounds, etc. and everyone was friendly and really concerned that you were having the best stay possible. ||If you ever get the opportunity to stay here...do it. It is by far one of the best get-aways I...
Read moreMy wife and I and several of our friends recently had the opportunity to have dinner at Wilder at Windy Hill Farm and Preserve in Loudon, TN. While visiting we learned of the lodging opportunities offered on this breathtaking 650 acre quail and dove preserve. So, a few weeks later we returned for a luxurious Saturday night under the stars. For us, it was a short staycation. For anyone not living in East Tennessee, it will be a sample of what heaven will be, in my opinion. ||Once you enter the Watch House and are greeted by the lovely hosts you know you are destined for a great experience. Your hosts will give you as little or as much attention that you desire. The service team is friendly and helpful without being intrusive. You will be guided to the on-site trails, given a tour of the farm while self-enrichment opportunities are available. (During the summer months water activities will be available along the shoreline of the Tennessee River).||The dinner menu at Wilder is unpretentiously gourmet. Many of the ingredients are curated right on the farm including the many delicious seasonal produce inclusions. ||Chef Ben Warwick offers only the freshest dishes which even includes a delicious dessert option from their onsite pastry chef. And, if that isn't enough, your made to order breakfast may be one of the best you have ever had. Everything we ordered was absolutely delectable.||Do I sound like these folks are my friends? Yes. They are. And they will be you friends too. Steven Brewington and his Director of Hospitality, Marlee Harris, will see that you have the ultimate lodging and dining experience on Windy Hill Farm and Preserve.||In my opinion, this luxurious resort is the best kept secret in East Tennessee and once you visit, you will agree it is Garden and Gun worthy.||||HInt: This is going to be a beautiful fall of full color in East...
Read moreWindy Hill Farm & Preserve did an excellent job for our companies offsite planning meeting-5 star event. We had six meeting participants and invited spouses to one of the evenings for dinner. This was so special having pretty much a buyout of an entire boutique resort property for our team. We are a smaller company, so having this exclusivity, with this level of dining and service was phenomenal.
The Farm provided the peaceful space for team building, meeting at the dining table in the Farmhouse, the five star meals made this more than just an offsite.
The food was five stars especially the spousal dinner. Chef Ben is very talented. We will be back for dinner when the restaurant opens up. Cocktail list was very small, but had everything we requested or wanted.
The newly built cabins are clean and well appointed. It’s a hunting lodge, but a peaceful farm boutique for our corporate retreat.
No on-site spa, but they will bring services into your room like at Dancing Bear or the Swag. Fitness is outdoors with a long walking path and long lakefront. Not much to do on-site for spouses during a winter stay-plan accordingly.
Leadership team offsite, business planning, corporate retreat, team building, spouses for local farm-to-table fine dining dinner, boutique,...
