This is a very tightly packed RV park, outside of a park we stayed in in the SF bay area, the tightest we've encountered. However, it's done for a reason. The park itself sits right on Johnson Bay with fantastic views of the water. Sites are lined up in three levels, the first directly on the water with a long run of grass in front of you. The second level sits behind the CG road, most of which have uninterrupted views of the water and the third is at the back with other sites in between them and the water. If you can score any site in the first level or the lower end sites in the second then you compensate for the tight side to side space by utilizing the space in front of you with the views of the water as your sitting area. We found this to be an acceptable tradeoff and especially enjoyed the ability to pull in facing the water so that we had a view directly out the windshield.

There was a mis of a few seasonal and a lot of transients coming through the park. The park stayed busy through our stay. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful, as were all the visitors we met. There is laundry on site, restrooms were clean, showers were pretty tight but hot and plenty of pressure. It's partial hookups but you can borrow a blue boy or pay $10 to have someone manage that for you.

There is an awesome chocolate shop just across the street. Lubec is biking distance away. There is good hiking at Quoddy Head and Cutler Coast. The brewery in Lubec had pretty good food, the beer needs work. The border crossing to Campobello is easy.

Verizon was very fast. They have a new tower in town and it's lightly used. We saw speed in the 20 mbps down 10 mbps up range. AT&T would cross over to Canadian towers so it was...

Everyone raves about the sunset at this campground. While it is a phenomenal sunset, there is a price to be paid to view it. Sunset Point RV Park is a small campground with a lot of sites crammed together.

The campsites are incredibly narrow. Our trailer has a slide on each side. At Sunset Point, one slide touched the power post. On the other side, we were so close to our neighbor that if we extended our awning it touched their trailer. We could hear our neighbors talking, hear their television, and hear their sneezes.

There was very little room outside our door to place chairs so we could sit, relax, and enjoy the sunset. Instead, the campground offered a table and fire ring across the road from your site. Are you really going to walk across the road to eat at a picnic table?

Sunset Point only accepts cash payments. For us, this was an inconvenience. It also takes away a level of protection in the event there is a problem that warrants a refund.

Lubec is a fun town to visit and the surrounding area offers numerous activities. Sunset Point is the only campground in Lubec; although, there are other options nearby. In our opinion, you should consider staying anywhere except Sunset Point RV Park. Unless, you want to be crammed in like...

Traveling in a 38 foot coach we stayed 7 nights in a site for big rigs (site 12). This park has power and water but no sewer. There is a dump station located by the office, or for $10 per visit, they will provide a mobile service. All sites are grass/dirt and at a slight incline towards the water. This means you will have to block-up one side of your coach (north side). The closer the site is to the water, the greater the incline. No trees here so satellite worked great...which was good because the wifi was spotty. Sites located in the middle of the park are cramped together. But, each of these sites has a fire ring and picnic table located directly across by the water. People really love this park and spend their summers here every year. And, when you experience the beautiful sunsets, you'll understand why. We really lucked out as site # 12 is the best site in the entire park (although it has a bad incline). It has the best view plus is the most spacious. We stayed here over the 4th of July and watched three different fireworks displays from across the bay. It was fantastic! If you are looking for a quiet and clean park where you can sit outside and relax…go here. We enjoyed our stay, and...

We give Sunset Point RV Park 5 stars for what it is, a quaint RV park, offering grassy sites with water and electric only and a nearby dump station. Tanks can be dumped at sites using their mobile dump service for a fee ($15 per tank). The view, location, grassy sites, peace and quiet, and the laid-back dog-friendly atmosphere are the best aspects. Not best aspects are that the sites are extremely close to one another, if we put our awing out the whole length, it would almost touch the rig next to us. We lucked out and had great neighbors that we became friendly with and sat together several times. The campground Wi-Fi barely exists, we couldn't connect. Fortunately, Verizon signal was stellar for us, and we could use our mobile hotspot as needed. We were at site #8 and we parked our Jeep behind the motorhome and used the space in front of our RV as our sitting area and that was really nice. Most of the center site's fire rings and picnic tables are across the "road" from the camping site, which is odd for proximity to rig, but good for the view. We enjoyed our time there and would definitely go back.

Of course, we brought our own room (read: camper van) and they provided the eastern most enjoyable place to park it. This place has an amazing lawn that will have you walking barefoot in ease. Til ya reach the "Maine style" (rocky) beach. Friendly welcoming staff offered all the "dont miss" highlights at check-in, including the offer of free lobster pot cooker set up so you can make your very own "coastal feast" at your leisure at your site. Good thing too, cause resturants are scares up here, and service lacking. Totally worth the trip to touch the top of the United States!!

I will remember camping here for the rest of my life. Absolutely breathing and stunning views, incredible faculties (HOT HOT HOT WATER), 3 washers and 3 dryers, firewoods available, and just overall a really fantastic vibe. There’s a beach on site, that is so beautiful with such CLEAR water. Incredible sunsets and amazing star gazing if the weather cooperates. The owners have done a truly phenomenal job with this site. Site B for tent camping to be right on the water, otherwise ALL the sites have water views. I will be coming back next summer. Absolutely incredible.
