I'm quite sure the evicted people probably needed to be evicted. I've stayed here off and on for extended periods (4 - 10 months at a time) for the past 5 years for work. The office staff is always kind, courteous, and helpful. The park is clean and always quiet. I've stayed at all three parks and never had a bad experience. The comment about the rent increasing annually by $50 each year is false. In the past 5 years the rent went up once by $50 which is comparable to all parks I've checked in the area that I would feel safe staying at. The metered electricity seems reasonable. I stayed at another park nearby the first time I was up there and had to pay all electricity which was about $90 - $100 a month. This park credits the first $50 to your electricity. My power bill at the park runs $45 - $50 a month which would be inline with the previous park with no credit. Not sure why someone would complain about other people getting up and leaving early. This happens at any park. I stay in parks around the country for fishing trips. I hear people leaving from 5 AM till 8 AM all morning every morning so this complaint isn't legit either. There's actually less noise in the early morning hours here. They're strict about the water in the winter for good reason. It freezes up there people. If your connection hoses aren't insulated and heat traced they'll disconnect your water hose. They actually will put a note on your door 3-4 days prior to a freeze event as a reminder. This isn't mean or rude, it's a NECESSITY!!! people. Grow up. Even an insulated line at low teens to single digit temps will freeze if it's not heat traced. Spend the $30 and get a heat trace line and quit complaining. I would be thankful if they disconnected mine. I had an older hose go bad on me just before a freeze, disconnected it and hooked up a new one. Left the old one laying next to the new one. When I got back to the RV that evening they had gone around checking everyone's hose for insulation and heat tracing kindly rolled up my old hose and placed it under the RV. I'd say that's pretty dang courteous. You're 10 minutes from major grocery chains, restaurants, auto parts stores, Tractor supply (for propane), Cabela's (for therapy), and only about 25 - 30 minutes from Dallas. For an RV park I'd say that's...
Read moremoved in here 6/7/15 and before I moved, I called to make sure the park was family friendly and asked if they charged extra for additional people because I had five kids. They were incredibly friendly over the phone and told me there were several families, even some who homeschooled. Today, 6/19/15 the owner, Alvin, came to my door, told me that I could not have 5 children here and that I KNEW that and I had 72 hours to leave. After crying my eyes out, I looked at my "lease" agreement which INDEED stated 7 people, I called and talked to the lady in the office. I asked her how he could tell me to leave because of this and she ignored me, telling me she would fill out the violation form and deliver it to me. When I asked her exactly what violation I had committed, she would not tell me. I called back a while later to speak with Alvin again to ask him what was the violation and he refused to tell me, stating that he didn't have to but there was a "multitude" of reasons. I assume he will create this multitude of reasons in response to this review or if I take him to court which it's not even worth because I am disgusted by these people now. When I told him that I was being discriminated against because I had 5 children, he told me that was my problem and hung up on me while I was still talking. This man is incredibly rude and this park is NOT friendly OR FAMILY...
Read moreAbsolutely terrible! I would give zero stars if I could. It's a big place but bigger is not better and thus place is proof! After spending hundreds of dollars with them over the years, this year they take your credit card and drivers license and write down all of your license information on a piece of paper and the old lady who claims to own the stand with her husband says "we put your drivers license information we write down in a safe for 7 years. We had no issues showing our license but for them to physically write all of your information down is a security risk. When I asked her about it, her response was "we've been ripped off before." It's bad business to make rules because of exception. If you can't assume any risk, you shouldn't be in business. This place is high risk for customers. The owner said "if you don't like it, go somewhere else. There's a reason you have to strip down at the airport." Whar??? I TSA precheck at the airport... Ha! POOR ownership. POOR poor ownership. Beware. This business is the reason identity theft is made easy. Go somewhere else if you can. They don't care about customers. The teenagers working there are nice so I don't fault them. They are only doing what they are told and don't understand that it's a horrible...
