This place was spacious on the inside and had plenty of room. The jacuzzi is a tub with jets that was not appealing due to the rusted handles. The basement was consistently cold no matter how high the heat was turned up. When you turn the heat up, the upstairs got more heat even with the vents closed, and the basement didn't get much. We closed all registers upstairs, which didn't seem to help with heat downstairs. The water tank couldn't keep up as we ended up with no water for a bit. Two people can't take a shower at the same time or wide you run out of water. The view of the river was nice but was skewed by the rundown cabin on the property. It was nice to sit outside the one day. One thing I found odd is that the bedroom with access to the bathroom had a latch that was only accessed from the bathroom side and not the bedroom side. That was weird, as there is no way to control anyone coming into your room from the bathroom. The insulation was not good. They did have a pool table and a ping pong table. There was only 1 pool stick with a good end on it, and the table was not level. The space itself is nice, and while there was plenty of room, the couches you literally sunk into so make sure you have good body strength so you can get out of the couch. It also would've been nice if the host had turned the heat on before we got there. At 55, it took most of the evening for the house to get up to temperature, which made for a cold evening. The steps leading in the back of the house to the river decibel need work. There were a couple that went down as you stepped on them, which was a bit scary when you're not expecting it. All in all, I likely wouldn't come back here, but it was nice being...

It was fun and has a great location. Unfortunately I wouldn't choose that location again. Our family friends rented the cabin for an small gathering. It was not very family friendly. It felt more college getaway.

There were alot of bugs inside. The tap water was horrible. It smelled like sulfur and showering was not fun. There was a rule that you could not change the thermostat. It was very cold down stairs and we have a baby. There were signs with rules posted everywhere about the house and it's rules. There is a pool table which is much nicer than most other amenities with signs surrounding the table detailing the cost of repairs. no one is allowed to use the pool table without a deposit. We just tried to not touch the pool table. There is a rule that says no eating or drinking except at tables. No dogs are allowed. The house itself is a cabin. It's not fancy or new ( except the pool table). I have no idea what a family dog could hurt. The owner randomly stopped by during our stay.

The river spectacular on the property. There is a lovely area to play and hang out by the river. The veiws from the cabin are stunning. The artwork was a point of interest that sparked...

We had the best weekend here with a group of 11 of us. The house fit our needs everyone loved it and Shenandoah River Outfitters is right down the road so it’s very convenient.
