Posting this so others don’t waste their money. $1700 for 3 nights for 2 people in the tiniest, most out of date dump. Even with two people it’s super cramped space and they tout it for 4+ people. And it’s at least 30 years overdue for a remodel.
The staff was polite upon check in, the 100 sq ft of “condo” was clean but it’s a ridiculous price for what another reviewer accurately called glorified camping. It’s water-damaged wood paneling and out of date, cramped spaces. For perspective, our unit’s source of entertainment is a DVD/VCR. We aren’t here for watching tv but it is an example of how outdated the unit is. Don’t even get me started on the bathroom.
The location is on the beautiful lake but even the access and rocky beach is relatively small. The deck is tiny and decomposing and the dirty plastic chairs don’t help. If I had known how outdated and overpriced this is, I would definitely not have booked. We are likely leaving early.
We are not opposed to spending the money we did to have a good experience in one of our favorite places, but this wasn’t it. We’ve stayed on the North Shore in multiple locations for 20+ years and there are way better options which we will be using exclusively...
Read moreGreat location. I'm in sea villas A1 and the lake is 40 feet from the big porch this unit has. Incredible views of the lake from almost every room. We had 8 people here, it was a little tight but the weather was nice enough that we didn't all have to be inside all the time. Fire ring by the beach and an always replenished supply of firewood was fantastic.
There were several issues with the unit though, internet down when we arrived( fixed on day 2 after 2 phone calls) screen door falls off everytime you open it, maintenance said it just needs to break before it can be fixed. Dishwasher doesn't work, fridge broke halfway through our trip, lost milk and meat. Took 3 calls to get maintenance out to tell us it couldn't be fixed. The resort did let us use the fridge in the unit next door though. There is a bad step on the way up to the loft, don't step on it if you are an adult. The mattresses were not what I would call comfortable, definitely need to replace those.
The unit could use some updating considering the price you pay per night. I would consider this a really nice camping trip, not a resort. The staff at the resort is friendly but inconsistent when it comes to getting some one out to work...
Read moreWe stayed in a 1 bedroom Villa (I-5) and it was spectacular. You could tell the bathroom and kitchen area had been recently redone with nice tile and marble- very sleek and clean! The unit was spotless when we arrived, check in was very easy and took less than 2 minutes which is nice when you've been travelling all day with kids. The loft beds for the kids were comfy- my husband even slept up there with them since there were 3 beds and said he slept great! I will say the ladder was a tad steep and our 3 &5 yr olds were able to do it, but we didn't feel comfortable leaving them alone in case they needed to get down in the middle of the night- thus my husband stayed up there. I would say in the next year or two though they kids would be fine along in the loft. the main bedroom was cozy as well and had space for our pack n play for our toddler. The sounds of the waves on the rocks was very peaceful. We loved loved the location and ambiance. We used the pool/hot tub/splash pad multiple times during our stay and we were impressed with the clean locker rooms to change before going back to our unit since it was chilly outside. Overall we had a wonderful stay and will be...
