Hoochies II River Road Resort — Hotel in Lynxville

Stayed here for a hunting trip on the Mississippi. Upon arrival all 3 rooms we had were extremely dirty and my room smelled heavily of bleach which didn’t start to go away till the end of the stay. The food was subpar to say the least we had pizza twice gave them another shot where me and one of the guys with me had a burger which had no flavor and our other buddy had a grilled cheese which the cheese wasent melted at all. On the 4th night of our stay we went back for dinner again to give them one last chance. We waited 30 mins and we’re not served once, the bartender looked at me started walking over then proceeded to have a conversation with someone else. I also tried to swap rooms to have a bigger room since I had a dog I paid the extra for the days we would be there. Once it was time for me to move in they told me I couldn’t move into the room due to having a dog. I asked for a refund and was only refunded partial payment where they said they “couldn’t refund the taxes”. I will never stay at this place again and highly recommend others do not stay here the place is run down service is poor and you could pay slightly more for better service and living arrangements at basically any...

Had the displeasure of staying at this run down establishment for a hunting trip with some buddies. Unfortunately it felt more like a POW camp hidden deep in the caves of Saudi Arabia than a motel for comfort. The rooms were the size of a goodwill dressing room and the aroma was a stench rife with cleaning products that would act as tear gas as they wreak havoc on your respiratory system. The rooms had a layer of filth that seemed to be the collection of former guests poor hygiene and grime. Privacy was non existent inside the rooms as there were windows directly above the bed with battered blinds punished by years of use and abuse. Anyone walking the narrow path connecting all the rooms could enjoy a gander into your room at anytime. The bar was extremely lackluster with regards to service and quality. The bartender would talk with regulars and completely ignore new patrons. After the prolonged wait for food to be ordered and served you were met with an incredible amount of disappointment and left feeling completely underwhelmed. The food was served dry and severely overcooked. Save yourself the trouble and find a better establishment...
