Haas Lake — Hotel in Lyon Charter Township

Good sites, good people, good facilities. Service staff is always working to keep things clean and in good repair. Recreation center with pool tables, ping pong, and games. Camp store doesn't ridiculously mark up items. Great beaches with giant sand hills for the kids. Daily activities for kids and adults, volleyball, catch and release fishing. Plenty of themed weekends add to the fun.

There are many seasonal residents (very pleasant people) so space is limited for those staying a few nights to a few weeks. The good thing is the available sites are usually near the recreation hall/camp store/beach. Ask for a site in D, E, or F. Booking early is best.

A few things I would add/change that would improve things. Get an online reservation system where people can see the available sites and dates. Something similar to what the Michigan State parks have would be great. Offer paddle boat, kayak and...

IV been going to haas lake for many years with my family of 5, just for weekend trips and short get aways. This is our first year as seasonal campers and we havnt went back home sense the begining of june. Its only 40 minutes from my work and home so its perfect for metro detroiters that dont want to go far. There is 5 lakes each lake has a beach for swimming and the fishing is just fantastic tons of bass, bluegill, pike and lots of wildlife. Every morning there is a blue herring fishing right outside our camper. They have activites almost every weekend that our kid and adult fun orientated. Since new ownership by the conglomerate, the cost to stay here is almost double. The services provided have not improved aside from putting up new signs and increasing the speed limit. For a 1 week stay on a full hook up site, it is close to $900.00. We used to enjoy this place as the cost was fair and owners were very friendly. I do not recommend this location.
