Celebration Centre Inn & Suites — Hotel in Lyons

This is a very nice motel! The rooms are very clean and roomy. I greatly appreciate the very friendly English speaking staff. The beds and pillows are comfortable. The prices are also very good! We stayed at this motel because we were visiting our daughter, who is a student at Sterling College. This motel offers a great discount for those visiting a son or daughter at Sterling. ||||I was impressed by the fact that his motel was completely booked because of the state fair, but the noise level was very low. ||||There are very few areas that I think could use improvement. But, I think a couple areas are noteworthy. As my family settled in for the night, we had no idea what time check out is or the hours for breakfast. This information was not offered at check in. It's not on the website. It's not listed in the room. I walked to the front desk to ask about breakfast hours but I forgot to ask about check out. We do much traveling and I can't recall another time that this information (at least check out time) was not readily available. I also believe that the staff should keep the breakfast bar better stocked. When we showed up for breakfast there were a couple of mini muffins and a cinnamon roll left. My family was hoping for more muffins. We stayed in the breakfast room for close to an hour. Muffins ran out an hour and a half before breakfast ended. One would think they would restock. We could have asked a staff member, but we opted for waffles instead. The breakfast doesn't offer bacon, eggs, or sausage which isn't a big deal to us, but it's information that someone may be seeking. Finally, we had difficulty with our door. Our door stuck really bad. We had to go to the front to get a staff member at one point. ||||If you are looking for a clean comfortable quiet reasonably priced room with friendly staff, then you will be satisfied with this motel. i had stayed over here with my dad, his wife, and my boyfriend. everything was perfectly fine. nothing was out of the ordinary. my dad and his wife had left early because their flight was leaving that day so me and my boyfriend got a different room for that night. when we had gotten the room, he was acting a bit odd about us checking into the room but no big deal. this morning, at about 8:30 am. my boyfriend and i were still asleep and someone knocks on the door excessively then tries to GET IN!!!! we had the door locked with the deadbolt so luckily no one actually came in but it freaked me out a lot. our check out time wasn’t even till 11. when i went to the front desk to complain about it, the guy there acted like it wasn’t an issue at all and his reasoning was “well i assumed you’d checked out”. it was a very uncomfortable situation honestly. my boyfriend also let me know that it had happened the day prior when we were still in the room that we were staying in with my dad. we’ve been staying at that hotel for years and never had issues before. i believe there are new owners as of the past couple years possibly. there was no other issues while there. the food was okay. but what had happened definitely affected me wanting to stay...

I much rather give them a ZERO rating!!! The owner/mgr had eyed on me with my bf dog to walk inside to our room. Please make sure u tell them if u have pets with u! N will charge u. The owner/mgr bugged me about the safety lock. He hates it when ppl put the prong out to hold the door when goin in or out of the room. He wants the door completely SHUT n lock it. Very Bossy!!! Also, he knocked on our door many times about our room if needed to be clean. It's clear that this guy doesn't understand most ppl don't want to be bothered. Especially when taking a shower n he tried to get in our room to clean it. The owner/mgr needs to leave the STAY OVERS ALONE! The owner/mgr had been cleaning the rooms n ck ppl in at the front desk with his wife. I find it odd that not very many ppl had stayed overnights there while we stayed but mostly hunters. So if undojt want to be bothered, put a sign out on the door knob or he will knock on ur door if u need anything. On the last morning, he knocked on our door to remind us we have to ck out.
